Want an honest review??…..Well here it is.
We went to Johnny’s for the very first time this evening (Aug 9, 2024). As soon as you pull into the parking lot and lay eyes on the place, you instantly get the feeling —- it’s gonna be good. When you open the door and enter, you get the sense of history and heritage that would come with a family business. It makes you want to know “the story”.
We were greeted with a very warm welcome and smile (always nice to see as more recently, this seems to have disappeared from many businesses). We told them we were first-timers and he thanked us for coming in. After perusing the menu…..we knew what we came for……a good ol’ Buffalo pie and wings!!!!
So let’s have a large cheese, cup n char pepperoni with extra sauce and some wings! We sat down in the vintage booths / tables and really enjoyed the ambiance of a legendary pizza joint with a beautiful story mounted in a frame on the wall. This 3rd generation still boasts the pride of their first generation and most definetely maintains the quality and service too!
After approx., 10 minutes-15 minutes, he came over to our table with an absolutely amazeballs pizza that literally made my mouth water as it was placed on the table! Everything about it was perfect….the cheese was soooo creamy and tasty, the cup n char pepperoni distribution was money!, and the sauce!!!!! Ohhhh the sauce!!!!! And, the crust was cooked to perfection in their deck ovens. I consider myself to be a good judge of a solid wheel and this one tops all of the ones I’ve had in my 52 years.
Then came the wings with carrots and their HOME MADE BLUE CHEESE!!!!!! Wooooooowwwww! From the wing sauce, to the size of the wings, to the way they were cooked….and the blue cheese!!!! OMG!!!!!!
The best part was ….. as busy as these guys weee, they found the time to share their family story, smile and thank us saying they appreciate our business and were so nice. We told them they have new regulars and we thanked them very much and shook their hands telling them to not change a thing—-they are absolutely the best.
If you have not been to Johnny’s……I would make sure that your next pizza and wing order comes from them….you won’t be disappointed- guaranteed.
Thanks...
Read moreWe used to love this place back in the day but sadly the food hasn't been good for a while now. Sorry to be negative here but we ordered several times in the last few months to keep trying to see if we liked something here because they are the closest pizza place. My most recent order of chicken fingers were so soggy, no crispness to them at all so i had to throw them in my air fryer for 5 minutes. Subs are so small now i can't believe it, but that seems to be everywhere now. The cheeseburgers were so bland and tasteless i will never order that again, also last time we ordered pizza here it had so much cheese on it, i actually got sick from one slice. With the increase of prices and quality going down i am going to just stick with the places i know are great all the time even if it's...
Read moreJohnny's is the best pizzeria in the area. The staff are the best and the delivery men are very personable and remember people to whom they have previously delivered. I asked them to make a specialty pizza, per my directions. They remember how to make it each time I call for it. There is one guy who always says, "I know that one, I'll make it!" It is always excellent. Pizza night is Wednesday, and $15 for their large pizza with one topping can not be beat. The pizza is a midwestern style pizza. You receive generous amounts of each ingredient. You get your money's worth. It is also good for cold pizza for breakfast. If you aren't happy with it, they will make it right. Call them and tell them. They are very accommodating. Johnny's Pizzeria has been my pizza place...
