Burrito Xpress Mexican restaurant — Restaurant in Town of Clarkstown

I went earlier today(01/15/2023), and this has become my most "NEW FAVORITE HISPANIC FOOD PLACE." The service and hospitality are extremely outstanding. The staff is patient and understanding if you're new and friendly enough to suggest some of the locals' favorites. They have some amazing specials. I loved that the staff was open to customization and embraced my creativity nature. Despite me currently visiting from Las Vegas, NV, I was blown away by the burrito I customized. Granted, it isn't my own creation, although a recreation of an already well-known burrito with accommodation due to my lactose intolerance. It still impressed me for a California style burrito to taste so flavorful without any cheese or sour cream. Even the complimentary chips and salsa were beautifully made. I can't forget about the Orchata as well. It is the best damn Orchta's I ever had! This place is definitely a locals hidden gem that wowed me away. Usually never leave feedback on restaurants and I feel bad but food wasn’t good at all. Ordered a steak burrito and chicken quesadilla to go. Not only was it really expensive but the steak was over cooked and tasted reheated like it was sitting around. The chicken quesadilla extremely bland and no flavor, also just no effort was put in at all to make it Taste good. It was just a small taco shell with chicken tossed in it.

Again I feel bad for leaving negative feedback but it’s so hard for everyone right now. And when I spend my hard earned money on a dinner I expect for it to be somewhat decent.

Stopped in for lunch for the first time. The menu is much larger and a bit more reasonably priced than this location’s previous tenant, Planet Wings, which priced itself out of business in 2022. Enjoyed my Philly cheesesteak wrap and seasoned waffle fries; onion rings were solid as well, I took half of it home. They gave us free homemade chips and salsa and there’s free refills on fountain drinks. My wrap “super deluxe” combo (which added fries & drink) plus a side of onion rings came to $26 after tax and tip.
