The Station Kitchen and Bar — Restaurant in Town of Clarkstown

My girlfriend and make it a habit to go out to dinner every Saturday night. We started our afternoon with apple picking, locally. We did make a reservation, but arrived early. Mark was very accommodating and sat us right away, and told us the name of our server! Nice touch I might add. Jessica , was awesome! She asked if we had been here before, and then explained all the drink and dinner specials. Noting some of the more popular items, this was very helpful! I’ll start with our drink order, we Like red Sangria when we go out! This one has to be the best I’ve ever had, even Spanish restaurants can’t touch this one! Next was the appetizer, very unique artichoke , totally awesome as well. House salad next, not run of the mill salad , very good ! And they make the dressings in house! We had scallops and Skirt steak both cooked perfectly and loved every bite ! Topped it off with Gelato for dessert! I think this place just made our top 5 places to go! Totally coming back! 1-5. This experience was one if the most humble and possible the best local experience in the entire county. This restaurant is a hidden gem thats overlooked by many people, and let me tell you why this place is one of the best. We start off our adventure into this place by calling in to make a reservation, and oh boy was it easier then any other place. We walk in and greeted by a smile hostess as I take in the small but humble restaurant, the bar looks as though I could sit there all day, and with there selections I wouldn’t mind. We sit down and are handed the menu and the specials. They have such unique options that no other restaurant offers around this area. They offer things FRESH (something 90% of the restaurants in this area fails to do). Our party orders our food and the food is to die for. I cannot put it into words, in many ways The station Kitchen and Bar has more up its sleeve then what meets the eye, I will most definitely be making a comeback hungry...

PROS: This place was a cute little place to eat at. The atmosphere looks like an old train station pub and it overlooks the train tracks. The staff was very nice to my family and I and they knew what they were doing! The menu had great food on it along with decent prices. The place was very clean and it also had a bar in it that's open late.

CONS: This place is a little confusing to get to because you have to turn onto this street that's parallel to the train tracks. The parking lot is very small and the bar could get congested if there are enough people there. The menu doesn't have enough to choose from on the menu and it opens around dinner time rather than for lunchtime​
