Excellent experience dining here! We were greeted within seconds of entering the restaurant. We ordered 2 bento boxes, (sweet and sour chicken and General Tso's chicken) tempura shrimp and a crab roll. The food was in front of us within minutes, the crab roll was very good,the shrimp tempura was delicious and the bento boxes had large portions of the main dish, rice, green salad and spring roll! Both chicken dishes were perfectly cooked and the General Tso's was moderately spicy. The atmosphere was very warm and relaxing, with soothing music. Our waitress was very attentive to our needs. And the total for a meal for 2 adults and a child was about $25.00 less than our usual Asian restaurant, and I thought the food was prepared better. Excellent Asian cuisine in Latham! We were recommended to this place by a local foodie group, who raved about their food. I am definitely particular about my food, though not a snob! I just have high standards. Bento meets and exceeds them every time! We've been coming on average 2-3 times per month, and I'm always satisfied. The food is tasty, not greasy, everything is freshly prepared, served hot, the service is warm and friendly, and the prices are more than reasonable in today's economy! DO NOT ORDER FROM HERE. Food is below average. I ordered Mai Fun, vegetable mix with rice and sushi roll. The Mai fun rice noodles were obviously sitting around for too long from maybe another order. They were too soft and squishy, and every time I tried to pick it up with a fork they would break apart because they were so over done. There was no fried egg in there either. The snap peas were limp from being overcooked. And the vegetables? Not very tasty. I called to tell them this was the first order I made from them and that their food was really not satisfactory at all but they were too “busy” to pick up. You can ONLY place orders online.
