Margarita City has reasonable prices, well seasoned food, and a welcoming vibe. Fans of Mexican cuisine will likely find their favorites here and without any of the pitfalls of “Americanized” Mexican food. Good flavors, plain and beautifully simple. I ordered: -Jumbo Chimichanga: $19.00 -Steak fajitas: $20.00 -Cheese dip with the salsa and chips: $8.00 -Soda: $3.50 -Water: free Total: $50.50 (excluding taxes and tip) Per person average: 25.25 For a sit down restaurant these prices are to be expected but border on being expensive. I don’t mind paying the extra money. I’m Mexican American and I live a long way from home. This is one of the only places serving traditional Mexican food in this area. I think for these prices, however, I wish they made the rice and tortillas in house. If they did it would be leagues ahead. The food itself is flavorful and it is well seasoned. All the expected flavors were there as well. I could’ve used more lime but that’s a personal preference. Don’t order unsweetened tea because it can wake the dead. Or do if you’re an apprentice in necromancy. The refried beans were silky and buttery with a decent helping of cheese. The fajitas are served sizzling with the perfect amount of crunch and char and the chimichanga has a generous helping of ranchero sauce. The flavors are difficult to beat locally. Art adorns the walls and the atmosphere is dark and intimate. It is an ideal choice for both family meals and date nights. The servers and hosts are both warm and welcoming. They try to make sure everybody has a great experience and when I took one of my friends there who was unfamiliar with certain dishes they took the time to explain things and answer his questions. I highly recommend Margarita City for your next night out.

We went there tonight for the first time my wife daughter and her boyfriend, we got there on a perfect time there wasn't many people, we arrived at 5:00 p.m. by the time we left at 10 minutes to 7:00 it was quite busy,we were seated promptly friendly efficient waitress, service was excellent. We all got margaritas they were very good, big drink decent amount of alcohol. Reminded me how much I like margaritas. I got the two chimichangas chicken and beef wife and daughter got the fajitas her boyfriend got something I forget now what it was but it was huge all the meals had a lot of food. One fajita could feed both of us easily so next time we'll be getting just one fajita and a couple of margaritas. I don't eat Mexican food very much but this was very good we all enjoyed our meals quite a bit. They brought out chips and salsa in the beginning which I forgot to mention, the chips were warm and the salsa was very good. We thought the bill was very reasonable considering the amount of food and how big the drinks were. I was very pleasantly surprised, it was a very nice evening and we will definitely be going back. Wasn't sure what to eat on a Friday night and with 3 people having 3 different buy flexible choices. It was decided mexican cuisine and then we had to decide on which restaurant. Finally we decided we would go to Margarita city as we had never been here. I try not to repeat unless the food is excellent. We went with fish tacos, Peruvian ceviche and make my own combo which included burrito, chalupa and chicken quesadilla. My favorite was the chalupa. Let's discuss my first experience with ceviche after watching cooking shows and learning about ceviche. In Peru, ceviche has been declared to be part of the country's national heritage and has even had a holiday declared in its honor. The classic Peruvian ceviche is composed of chunks of raw fish, marinated in freshly squeezed key lime, with sliced onions, chili peppers, salt and pepper. I like the flavors of the dish and would recommend it. This is Albanys best attempt to bring Miami locally and they have done a good attempt. They have drag queens perfor.ing with some music. This would be a good game to watch some soccer games.

Margarita City is tucked away in a part of town, that I expect may cause many to skip this restaurant that offers a true taste of Mexico. From the moment you step inside, you're greeted by a colorful and lively atmosphere filled with authentic Mexican decor. The staff is incredibly friendly and welcoming. The salsa and cheese dip are a fantastic starter, packed with flavor and perfect for enjoying with their crispy chips. I opted for the Birria Tacos and they were absolutely delicious. The beef was tender and juicy, the cheese was melty and gooey and the consomme added a rich, savory depth to the tacos. If you're looking for a delicious, friendly and authentic Mexican dining experience in Albany, Margarita City is a must-visit!

Surprisingly I had missed this Mexican restaurant when I visit Albany.. it’s located on Rt 9 with elegant restaurant and bar/ disco dance/ karaoke seating area where I was seated . Large portion of my Chili Rellano vegetarian dish.. limited vegetarian .. choice
