Went too busy when we went but it was a weeknight and just about 5pm. Service was excellent and the food was pretty good. Prices are more expensive than the diner down the street but prices are up everywhere as it's 2023. We ordered 2 kids meals pancakes & Mac n cheese as well as 2 adult meals the grilled cheese and chicken marsala. Portions were great and the fries were the potato wedge kind. I am not generally a fan of potato wedges but they were seasoned nicely so they were enjoyable. All the staff were friendly and attentive. Bathrooms were also clean which is always a plus. We will definitely be back! Update: went back today after they had been opened for a bit. Excellent customer service, was just me and my toddler son and the server was quick, friendly, & adaptive. The kids meals are a great deal when you see what you get. They get to choose a main dish, 2 sides, drink, & cookie. When I went to pay I realized I forgot my credit card in my car. The cashier was super patient and I packed up myself and my son and got out to the car and back. My Buffalo chicken wrap was great as well! Again, we will definitely be back.

This is a traditional diner. The menu is huge, with all the typical diner menu items, including all day breakfast. My adult companions had barbecued brisket and a barbecued pork sandwich. Both were fine. The brisket came with a huge pile of broccoli, very plain, and mashed potatoes. The pork barbecue was also fine- served on toast oddly. I had a hamburger. It was cooked exactly right, and the fries were excellent. The children were not happy with their breakfast meals. The homefries were really not good. The other was upset because they put the fruit she wanted on top of her French toast not on the side. So, the food is somewhat uneven. Some things were great, others not so good The service was excellent, and the place was packed. Would I go back? I don't think so.

Another day, another diner craving satisfied. I’ve driven past Metro 7 countless times, but ever since my diner fixation kicked in, my subconscious is on high alert for new spots to try. Loved the cozy vibes inside—the staff was super sweet, and the food came out fast. I have this (bad?) habit of ordering a toasted muffin with coffee at every diner I visit. They had some fun options like pistachio, but I went with the cinnamon muffin, and it did not disappoint. For my main, I got the Monte Cristo—nothing excites my taste buds more than the perfect balance of sweet and savory, and this hit the spot. The portion was huge (hello, leftovers!). My boyfriend enjoyed his steak & eggs, and the hash was great. Metro 7 is definitely a solid addition to my diner rotation.

Metro 7 Diner: A Promising Start, But Room for Improvement

I was genuinely excited to try Metro 7 Diner, especially with new owners at the helm and the constant search for good diners near my home. What truly piqued my interest was seeing their advertisement for Eggs Benedict, specifically mentioning homemade hollandaise, which is one of my favorite breakfasts.

Upon arrival, the diner looked nice and clean inside, and the hostess was friendly and welcoming, setting a pleasant tone. Our waitress was also very kind and personable, contributing to a good service experience.

My brother ordered a breakfast platter and asked if he could swap the pancakes for a waffle, even offering to pay more. Our waitress assured him he wouldn't be charged extra, which was great to hear. However, when the bill came, he was indeed charged more for the waffle. While we didn't say anything, it was a bit disappointing. Despite that, he did enjoy his meal overall.

I ordered the Eggs Benedict, and while it looked appealing with generous ham and nice, thick English muffins (a definite positive, as many places skimp on ham or serve tiny, burnt muffins), the flavor was completely absent. Hollandaise sauce is meant to have a vibrant zip and sweetness from lemon juice, along with a pleasant saltiness from butter and a pinch of salt. This version was sadly bland and very disappointing, especially given the "homemade" promise.

The home fries were equally underwhelming. Some were barely cooked and hard, lacking any seasoning or crispness. Others had a distinct "earthy" taste, almost as if they'd just been pulled from the ground without proper cleaning or seasoning, which I found hard to stomach.

In summary, the service at Metro 7 Diner was wonderful, and the atmosphere truly embodies the quintessential diner feel. However, the food, particularly my Eggs Benedict and the home fries, left a lot to be desired. I'm willing to give Metro 7 Diner another chance, hoping these are just new-owner kinks to work out, but I highly doubt I'll be ordering the Eggs...

Came in today and the man that seated me and my girlfriend was great, he sat us off behind where the Register is."The section over in open area" The seat he sat us in was against back of diner next to another Register. We sat for 10minute. The waitress that was working section had on glasses and looked at us while we were waiting and yelled " ill be right over" Rudely. And aggressively, after few more minutes finally the man who sat us asked if we wanted drinks and he was nice enough to bring right over..Finally the waitress with the glasses and tattoo on her arm not sure what her was but i know it was around 1:00 today.. she finally decided to come over and ask our order, when i started to say what i wanted she barked at me "Hold on" very rude and took forever to get food which was cold and toast was hars and crunchy, never came back to check on us and after half hour after of being done eating came back and dropped bill, again never asking how was and had a very stank Attitude. Its sad because i liked my Previous experiences at this diner. I wont be back nor will i tell friends about. Message for waitress Waiting tables is a hustle. And you better stop your game be nicer to people that your waiting on if you want tips. Heres a tip for you find a different job if the one you have makes you this miserable. Step up...
