The drive into this quiet riverside village is a treat in itself—peaceful roads, scenic views, and a pace that instantly helps you unwind. As you arrive, the storefront is warm and inviting, and stepping inside feels like walking into a little haven of happiness. It’s the kind of place that makes you want to pause, take it all in, and savor the moment—especially over a dish of delicious ice cream. The ice cream here comes from Jane’s Ice Cream, based in Kingston, NY—a beloved small-batch creamery known for using high-quality ingredients and offering a mix of classic and inventive flavors. Their dedication to craft really comes through in every scoop. I was welcomed by Sharon, the owner, who was incredibly friendly and knowledgeable. She took the time to explain their ice cream flights (a must-try if you’re indecisive!) and shared insights about sourcing local products. Her passion for the shop and its offerings was clear, and it made the experience feel even more personal. I went with the Peanut Crunch, and wow—what a flavor! It was incredibly creamy with a rich peanut base and loaded with big candied peanuts that added the perfect crunch and sweetness. An indulgent and satisfying treat that I’ll definitely be coming back for. On the way out, take a little time to stroll or drive through the village. With its riverside charm, relaxed vibe, and friendly locals, it’s the kind of place that reminds you to slow down and enjoy the simple pleasures—like great ice cream on a quiet afternoon.

Awesome place!!! One of our favorite ice cream places around. Great service, tons of choices for ice cream for both traditional and vegan options. Cute decor inside and fun menu! We got the ice cream flight and it didn’t disappoint! Must try if you are close by!

A delicious spot. Sharon was friendly and shared a few things about the ice cream. Local with the least amount of additives/dyes in their ice creams = love!

1 star for the prices and the ice cream. Not even homemade. It’s Jane’s Ice Cream. $3 for 1 scoop. Rip off. Why all the fake 5 star views? Expensive, and ordinary. Nothing that should make it $3 for 1 single scoop of Vanilla ice cream when you can go to the store and get it cheaper and more for your buck. Not hard to order ice cream in and over charge it to your customers. Coxsackie has nothing anyway, so let’s overcharge everyone who wants ice...

Really love this place, already has a place in my heart! So lucky to have this ice cream shop in our area. Great to head out here with kids, date night, or when family visits. Have so many vegan options too and they taste incredible. Appreciate an allergy friendly place too. Awesome...
