The Yellow Deli - Coxsackie — Restaurant in Town of Coxsackie

I first saw the yellow deli as a reel on social media describing it as a good experience "even though it's a cult." Regardless of its beliefs, I was captivated by the aesthetics and mood of the restaurant. We were visiting a neighboring town and made it a point to stop here. It did not disappoint.

The first thing you'll notice at the beginning, through the duration, and we'll after the meal is done is the friendliness. From beginning to end, these people were far too kind in every way. And it wasn't an annoying level of positivity; it was genuine enthusiasm for their workplace.

Next it the look of the joint. It's consistent all throughout, including the bathroom. It started in the 70s and really maintains the style of that era. Simple, clean, warm, and brown (and yellow). Very comforting.

Lastly, the food. It's simple and done well. We went for breakfast and ordered several items, delighted by all of it. When we got the bill, we were happy to see how incredibly affordable all of it was. Lots of places will have the bill up around $50. Our bill was a very friendly $25.

We bought a mug on the way out. Mugs are unique to each location.

Wow! This place is a must visit when you're in town. I forgot to ask if this place is family owned. The food was absolutely delicious & you can tell they put their hearts in to it! We enjoyed everything. The sandwiches, the smoothies, carrot cake, the waffle was all perfect! Oh, they are super clean. They sanitized & wiped the table, the chairs, the condiments after the customers leaves, ready for the next one! The bathroom smells great & well kept. Glad we found this place! This place is incredible. Fantastic handcrafted decor, lovely staff and the food is delicious. I think this might have been the best sandwich I ever had. Everything we ordered was delicious; soup, sandwich and salad. The blueberry smoothie and hibiscus iced tea were really good as well. Their prices are so low I can only assume it's a part of their ethos to make people happy rather than make profit as I'd have happily paid at least double for this meal.
