When you finally take pen to paper (or fingers to phone as it were) to write your very first google review, you know you’re inspired. And what can I say, the muse is upon me. My wife sent me a cryptic text today informing me that she’d ordered dinner for me and it’s a surprise! My excitement grew as the grub hub guy dropped our dinner at the door. The big surprise was when my wife opened the to go box to reveal my open faced roast beef sandwich. The gasp and stunned look on her face was puzzling. But as she turned the box to show me my feast, it was clear we had a problem. I gazed upon what looked to be the contents of a tightly wrapped small cellophane portion of sliced week old roast beef. Freshly nuked and quickly dropped on top of a stiff slice of Italian bread. Not an ounce of moisture remained. I attempted to peel the slices apart and place them on some nice fresh bread I had at home but was unable to break the bonds of time that held the beef to its cellophane shape. As a last resort I placed each tightly folded beef roll in line on my potato bread and poured the thimble of gravy over top hoping for the best. My fork created deep red marks on fingers as I desperately tried to rock it back and forth through my jerky-esque sandwich. Alas, I would not not be eating tonight and we have made a vow never to order food here again until after their Gordon Ramsey Kitchen Nightmare...
Read moreI was attending a 3 day retreat . When I arrived on friday morning the parking lot and side walks were no plowed I had to carry my suitcase through 4 inches of snow. when my friend arrived at 11am the side walks were icy and still not shoveled or salted. My friend fell and a ambulance was called because she got injured and broke her glasses when she slipped on the ice. For dinner on saturday the we were given a $25 voucher and our group of 45 was told to arrive as small groups starting at 5 . My group arrived at 5:45 We waited 30 minutes to order drinks and a hour and 20 minutes later we had our order taken. I ordered broiled haddock but was served fried fish. What upset me most was the establishment knew we were going to be there for the 3 days and they made no arrangement for staffing enough for our group size . They only had one waitress, one barmaid and one cook. The staff was trying there best but I feel management allowed this poor service to happen Other guest who were also staying at the hotel were having to wait 11/2 hours to be...
Read moreLove this place. I spend most of my time at the bar socializing with coworkers. I’m not much of a drinker so I usually only get a blue moon or two. The food is great here but the staff are what makes it amazing. Pam and Michelle put up with all of us Naglers and the world famous Tommy and still keep a smile on our faces. I’ve never gotten my bill and thought “there’s no way I spent this much.” Like almost every other bar/restaurant. Their other bartender Danielle is usually done before I get there so I never get a chance to propose to her, but I’m pretty sure from the 30 seconds I talked to her one time, she is my soulmate... they have a private room away from the bar too we had our company banquet at and everything was spectacular if you need a place to host.
