Guadalajara's Mexican Grill — Restaurant in Town of De Witt

The first thing we noticed upon arrival was that every table in the restaurant, except the three with customers, was covered in dirty dishes. Not quite the vibe I was hoping for, but the smell coming from the kitchen was amazing, so I lowered my expectation for service and we decided to stay. We started with guacamole, which was fresh and flavorful. My partner ordered a vegetarian platter (bean burrito, cheese enchilada, cheese quesadilla) and I ordered La Mi Patria (cheese enchilada with red sauce, chicken enchilada with cheese sauce, and beef enchilada with green sauce plus rice and a guacamole salad). The guacamole arrived quickly followed shortly by our entrees. Everything on the vegetarian platter had red sauce. My enchiladas were not quite as advertised - the cheese had the green sauce and the beef had the red sauce. The green sauce was a delicious creamy salsa verde with a bright jalapeno flavor, but the star of the show was the chicken enchilada. The chicken was perfectly seasoned, moist, and melt-in-your-mouth tender. I cannot wait to return for the three chicken...

If you haven’t been to Guadalajara’s in East Syracuse, you’re seriously missing out!

Our server Miriam was amazing, super friendly, attentive, and just so on top of everything. The food? Out of this world. We started with the Birria Fries (I could’ve made a whole meal out of those alone). Then we had Carne Asada Tacos and Birria Tacos - the meat was rich but not heavy, packed with major flavor from tasty marinades, and clearly made from someone’s abuela’s recipes. The rice and beans, heavenly, neither was heavy and they serve the perfect amount.

Kudos to our bartender!!! The Jalapeño Cilantro Margarita deserves its own shoutout omg so so so fresh, perfectly spicy, and honestly one of the best margs I’ve had in a while. And the salsa and hot sauce are homemade and bursting with wonderful flavor. I took a pint home.

I can’t believe I waited so long to try this place! Absolutely delicious food. The staff were so polite and kind- I could genuinely tell she cared if we enjoyed our food or not. We did not have any issues or need to request anything extra but ik if we did she would have jumped to get us anything we needed. My friend got the 3 fish tacos, and I got carne de asada, shrimp and a potatoes taco and they were so yummy. The shrimp taco was my favorite so much flavor and goodness.
