Worst customer service experience ever, and being that its McDonald's, expectations were exceedingly low to begin with. Bathroom was covered in 8" of soaking toilet paper & no clean/dry toilet paper was in the men's room at all. I have a medical condition requiring immediate access to bathrooms and expressed this and the situation politely to a woman who claimed to be a manager (short, dark hair, glasses, no name tag). Her loud response was (verbatim), "WELL WE'RE IN THE MIDDLE OF OUR LUNCH RUSH, SO WHAT DO YOU EXPECT US TO DO ABOUT IT?!?" Taken aback, I politely reminded her that it was a medical emergency and if not dealt with I'd be in extreme pain or unable to contain the need to go. They told me that was my problem, not theirs, and to wait and someone would be out when they had time. 10 minutes go by and I ask again and I'm told that I need to learn to be patient. At this point I'm getting very frustrated. Now 15 minutes have gone by and again I am told to learn some patience. At this point I was in extreme pain (which I expressed multiple times), so, frustrated, I opened a napkin container, grabbed the contents and told them I'd take care of the problem myself. They helped at me, saying I was not allowed to do this. Disregarding this I proceeded to the restroom. After spending another 10 more minutes cleaning the toilet with the napkins, in excruciating pain, so it was usable (not clean by any means), I was finally able to try to go. 10 more min later, after being unable to due to the wait, one nice man came in with toilet paper for me and apologized for the wait. This delay nearly resulted in an emergency room trip for me due to the medical condition I expressed to them.
I was in customer service and sales my entire life prior to my disability and have never even heard of such a rude, unhygienic, apathetic, and painful treatment of a customer in my life.
I wrote a complaint on their website. Got no response till today, asking me to fill out a satisfaction survey on how they handled my complaint. They never did in the first place. I recieved no email apart from that, no phone call, no letter, nothing. So I called the customer service line, waited through the prompts, and sat on hold till someone picked up. Once that unknown person picked up the phone, they simply set own the reciever and ignored it. Sat there for 10 min yelling "hello" into the phone with only the sounds of 1 woman on the phone with a customer and 2 other employees chatting in the background.
Rather angry at this point, as I feel is more than justified, I called back, spoke to a woman named Lola who was nice and polite. Nothing was resolved as she was simply the person answering the phones. She took my information and said she'd pass it on to someone who would contact me shortly. Read moreI was there today with my kids getting lunch and my son ended up vomiting at the table. I told one of the employess about it and she looked at me like I was an alien. So I asked her for a rag or mop or something to clean it with. Not one employee could be bothered to help me as I was alone with 2 young kids running back and forth to the bathroom to try and clean everything up. When I finished cleaning it up as best I could I brought the rinsed out rag back up to the counter and talked to a different employee and asked if she had something to put the dirty rag in. She didn't say a word and just gave me a togo bag. I put it in there and then tried to hand it to her and she completely ignored me. I was trying to get my kids out of there and get home since my son had just been sick. So I left the bag on the floor near the employee, got my kids and headed to the car. As I am getting my kids in the car the "Manager" comes outside being extremely rude asking me what the problem was. I told her what happened and she just kept giving me an attitude and saying she didn't know anything.. no one knew what was going on. I tried explaining to her again what had happened and that I spoke to 2 employees about what happened and no one would help me or just ignored me and I was just trying to leave. The customer service there is awful as I felt I was almost attacked by this so called manager. Food was okay.. some had been sitting for awhile as it was barely warm. My order:
TWO 4 piece nugget kids meals with apple slices and apple juice.
One number 7 large with Diet Coke
One spicy chicken sandwich. Just the sandwich.
A number 2a large with a dr. Pepper
A 4 piece nugget with sweet and sour sauce.
Big order but not really 4 sandwiches and 12 nuggets and pre made fries should be easy.
Total is $31 and change I pay and don’t get a receipt.
I have to pull ahead to wait for my food. No problem. I wait a while. I only get one happy meal. Now I’m annoyed but I’m not sure if I was shorted or if she didn’t hear that I wanted two meals. Not a big deal.
I go back through the drive through. One car ahead of me this shouldn’t take long. I wait at the speaker box for over 5 minutes for most of that time no one was in front of me. In that time atleast 7 cars either drove by because the line was too long or got out of line. Lost money because of incompetence. The car that was in front of me got their food already.
Finally I get my food and kindly the thanked the employee.
I get home after spending too much time at McDonald’s. The food is now cold. And the spicy chicken sandwich isn’t in the bag so my oldest got a 4 piece nugget for dinner that’s it. No receipts I don’t know what I was charged for.
