Went with my wife and kiddos very recently. The ice cream was the same flavor and quality as that of Great Value Brand (from Walmart); it was mostly icy and not creamy at all with a very bland flavor. I could barely tell my strawberry ice cream was supposed to be strawberry. My wifeās strawberry shortcake sundae had only two sliced strawberries in it, on a very hard biscuit. Even the toddler turned up her nose. Prices arenāt listed on the board at all, so if you are budget conscious or are looking for the best deal, you are out of luck. Luckily they arenāt too horrible in price, being just under $15 for two kiddie ice creams and a sundae. This is expensive for the area but the kiddies were the size of small at other shops so maybe a bit more ice cream per price. The young ladies working, although polite, seemed confused and were getting orders mixed up and setting them at the window not calling out the order ir belong to. When customers asked āis this mineā the one woman responded āhonestly I have no idea, I just made it.ā I think better communication between the person taking the orders, the person making it, and the person putting the order out, could be greatly improved. Perhaps we will try again and re evaluate. However there are plenty of other ice cream shops in the area we havenāt had these...

During a recent trip to Northern New York, I stumbled upon "The Last Stand," a coffee and ice cream store that exceeded all my expectations. This quaint establishment offers a surprising variety of high-quality food and dessert options, making it a delightful stop for any traveler.
The bagel sandwiches are particularly noteworthy, featuring generously sized portions. The bagels themselves strike the perfect balance of soft and chewy, complemented by fresh eggs, broiled cheese, and hearty pieces of bacon or sausage. Each bite is a testament to the quality ingredients and care put into their preparation.
For dessert lovers, "The Last Stand" is a paradise. The extensive selection of ice cream, sundaes, and milkshakes caters to all tastes. Their coffees and signature energy drinks stand out as both unique and delicious, providing a refreshing twist on classic beverages.
Whether you're passing through or planning a visit, "The Last Stand" is a must-try destination. It's a rare find that combines excellent food, delightful desserts, and a warm, welcoming atmosphere. Don't miss the chance to experience this hidden gem in...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI would skip this and go to the other location on Ridge Road/Wygant in Horseheads. That location is absolutely awesome. It's leagues better compared to this location.
Customer service is extremely lacking. If you're picking up an order inside the workers will ignore you, I've seen them go as far as to hide when people go inside. They routinely say they're out of things when you try to order. I've seen many people (myself included) leave frustrated.
Most of the employees I've dealt with look absolutely miserable and act like they don't want to be there.
I absolutely understand paying more for small businesses as they typically have better quality than corporations. On multiple occasions there have been significant issues with quality of product vs the price they're selling it at.
I've dealt with the watery milkshakes, and bagles with very little dressing/toppings. When I have brought up quality the workers have shrugged it off.
I moved from Horseheads to Painted Post and was so excited for another location to open up near me. I'm so disappointed in this location and will probably skip it and go to either the parent location or some other...
