⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ 5-Star Review: A Taste of Heaven at Tony’s Pizzeria
I’m visiting from Tennessee, and let me just say—I’ve never had anything like this in my life. If I could give Tony’s Pizzeria more than 5 stars, I absolutely would. This place is the real deal, and it's ruined every other pizza and sub I’ve ever had. I honestly don’t know how I’ll go back to my usual spots after this.
Let’s start with the pizza—because OH MY LORD, it is next level. The crust is perfectly crispy on the outside, with just the right amount of chew on the inside. It tastes like it was made fresh in a wood-fired oven by someone’s Italian grandma who’s been doing this for 60 years. The sauce is tangy, rich, and clearly made in-house—it has this incredible depth of flavor that bottled sauce just can’t touch. I got the pepperoni and sausage, and I swear the sausage had that perfect balance of seasoning and spice—nothing too greasy, just savory perfection.
Now, let’s talk about the meatball sub. I don’t even know if I have the words to describe how good it was, but I’ll try. The meatballs were tender, flavorful, and clearly homemade. You can taste the love and the slow-cooking in every bite. The sub roll was soft yet held everything together beautifully, with just a light toast on the outside. Then they smother it in marinara and melt a generous helping of gooey, bubbling mozzarella on top. I legit closed my eyes after the first bite—it was that good.
Even the little details blew me away—the garlic knots, the house salad with the tangy vinaigrette, the fresh-grated Parmesan. The staff was super friendly and made me feel like family the second I walked in. You can tell they take pride in what they do, and it shows in every single thing they serve.
If you're anywhere near this place, you HAVE to stop in. Coming from Tennessee, where we have our own great food traditions, I didn’t expect to be so completely blown away by a pizza joint. But Tony’s? Tony’s changed the game. I’d drive hours out of my way just to eat here again.
This isn’t just food—it’s a whole experience. A slice of New York, a spoonful of Italy, and a warm welcome all rolled into one. I’m already planning my next visit, and you better believe I’ll be bringing friends. Do yourself a favor and get to Tony’s—you’ll never look at pizza (or meatball subs) the...
Read moreExcellent thin crust pizza and crispy Buffalo Wings!
Although Tony's has a few tables, primarily, Tony's is a take out pizzeria and a damn good one!
Tony's has become my go-to place for a perfect thin crust New York pizza and excellent authentic Buffalo Wings.
The perfect New York pizza consists of extremely thin, light crisp crust, a thin layer of spicy sauce, and a thin layer of quality cheese that's baked to perfection. Tony's Pizza in Port Ewen fits that description. Excellent New York pizza!
Tony's Buffalo Wings are also excellent. They're always cooked golden crispy, and they use classic Buffalo sauce of Red Hot and butter, not jarred sauce.
There's parking around the corner that's convenient for pick up.
It's my opinion that Tony's has earned high grades. Port Ewen has a few choices for pizza, but Tony's is...
Read moreI picked up an almost $90 order for 2 orders of BBQ wings, 2 Buffalo wings, mozzarella sticks and calamari. Upon inspecting the order we noticed there was hardly any sauce on the buffalo wings and we were missing our mozzarella sticks. After refusing to make it right via phone I drove the wings back and the owner added sauce onto my (now cold) wings.
When I asked about the mozzarella sticks he insisted he gave them to me. He refused to give me my order or do anything to make it right. The conversation ended with him screaming across the restaurant at me until I left. This is by far the worst customer service I've ever received and will not go back after being a faithful customer for years. Super shady and disrespectful all around. Nothing like the...
