As soon as we walked in we had the experience of stepping into an elegant, upscale dining area coupled with with two large tvs sitting over the bar with college football. My girlfriend and I loved it because we wanted fine dining and yet the informal pleasure of watching sports at the bar. The tvs were visible from where we were sitting so we got to enjoy the intimate experience of personal conversation and good food without the loud noise of a normal bar with tvs blairing.
The service was excellent. The waitress was very attentive to us. We started out with garlic bread and had the tomato, basil and mozzarella as our appetizer. The portions were perfect size for two people to split and it was delicious. With the attentiveness of the waitress, she knew exactly when to come clear our plates and gave us just enough breathing time to digest before bringing out our salads which the house dressing was amazing.
For the main course, I had the chicken and spinach canneloni which came out in a large portion. I was only able to eat half but it was hard for me to stop eating because it was so good! My gf had the chicken sorrentino which was also a very large portion that she could only eat half of as well which she describe as Uhhmazing. Needless to say, we both have lunch for tomorrow :-)
I followed that up with a cup of coffee and as a treat on the house for my gf's birthday, the manager brought her a cordial of grand marnier which she also described as strong yet uhhhmazing and rich. The coffee (which i'm not big on coffee) was so good I asked him what kind of coffee it was and he gave me a small sample of the grinds to take home with me.
Overall, the atmosphere was nice and the food and service was absolutely phenomenal and we look forward to returning for dinner again. Thank you Leo's for a...
Read moreI bought a $50 gift card for my mother for Christmas and she went to use it just 2 weeks later and it had a ZERO balance. They said they could do nothing at the time and said management would follow up. My mother returned the next day and again no resolution. I went in 2 days later explained the issue with staff and showed the charge on my credit card statement. Staff called management on the phone who said again they would follow up and check records but it could take awhile. No one ever followed up this was many months ago. They charged me $50 and gave me nothing but an empty gift card. I trust when I purchase a gift card that the credit is added. After 3 in person visits it was obvious they did not care to rectify the situation and just gave empty promises to follow up. This was my go to pizza place and restaurant for many years as well as my mother’s so we are beyond disappointed. As a working mother I don’t have $50 to just throw away or extra time to keep showing up requesting a resolution. Honestly after showing my credit card statement that they definitely charged and after us returning so many times in a row I don’t see how they didn’t honor our gift card or at the very least give any follow up call as they continuously promised at the time to get us to go away. The timeline of when I purchased the gift card to when my mother tried to use it was only a 2 week difference so it’s not like we had forgotten we had used it....
Read moreThe food is mediocre . The prices are $$$$ and do not reflect t the value you receive small portions as well. Owner not at all friendly nor staff. They act like their restaurant is 5 star it's a pizza place that also serves mediocre entrees for to much money! This is a family owned business I have heard the elder / father who started the busineses was a kind man and the food was delicious back when he was in command. The current son/ owner needs to park his big fancy Mercedes not in front of the front entrance so that the handicapped and our elders folks can park near the front door for easy access. In my opinion do not waste your money or time to eat at this establishment. Mama Teresas Restaurant in New Windsor is a fabulous place to eat. Homemade pasta sauce you name it and it does not come out of a can. Food portions are huge seriously enough for two servings and my husband can consume alot of food but never not once at Mama Teresas . I am not an employee or owner of MT I am a satisfied consumer spreading the word and just trying to give tips within a 8-9 mile radius that one can enjoy a great Italian meal....
