Let me start by saying I have enjoyed the food here and was a frequent customer up until about 2 months ago. My wife and I would order at least once a week. We stopped ordering from Bagels and Cakes as the service was becoming worse. Well this week we decided to give it another shot. I called and was first put on hold for 10 minutes so I'm assuming they just forgot to pick the call up. So instead I drove in and ordered a buffalo chicken wrap. I waited for my order then drove home. After I opened my order I realized it was a regular ranch chicken wrap. I called the restaurant and let them know what happened as I understand mistakes do happen and orders do get messed up. Instead of offering to fix the problem I was transferred to who I was told was the cook. The cook asked me the problem, I explained and then heard him yell to someone else if they made a Buffalo chicken wrap or another type. He told me the other cook made the correct wrap and he him self witnessed it being made. I assured him it wasn't correct and I would bring it back to show him. At this point I could tell he was irritated because he said "sorry we will talk to you later" and told me to bring it back if I had a problem with it. I wasn’t looking to debate with a chef just making them aware, so I drove back another 15 minutes later and met with the manager who then looked at the order confirmed it was wrong and did refund me for the wrap portion of the order. Well I appreciate the refund that's not what I drove back for. I live over 12 miles from this restaurant so it wouldn't make sense to drive back for a 12 dollar refund. They just couldn't grasp the concept of owing the mistake and trying to fix it. Instead nothing but excuses from the manger and saying it happens over and over. This was really not a review I wanted to write as I was a long time customer but at this point it's the only way I can see getting the word to the owners to make some improvements . I don't know if it's training, staffing problems or just entitled young people running a business with know guidance but I hope they can turn it around. Read moreI’ve eaten from this place a million times and never have I ever encountered an experience like I did today. I know things happen as nobody or any establishment is perfect. I ordered French fries and as I was eating them I bit into one that was freezer burnt. It left such a HORRID taste in my mouth that I about threw up if I didn’t rinse it right away. One could say it was close to something that would taste moldy. I wasn’t upset, more so shocked because I’ve always had such a great food experience with them. I called the establishment letting them know about it and how I was also missing another item I had paid for. A worker named Linn accused me of lying about the freezer burnt fry and got very hostile with me and took it extremely personal even when I assured her that I wasn’t trying to make a thing out of it nor was making any accusations towards anybody. I was just informing them of what happened and I simply wanted a fresh batch and the item I was missing, considering I was a paying customer and didn’t want the food that I paid for to be shit as well as wanted an item that I did pay for and never received. Linn refused my service and stated to me “ I don’t believe you about the French fry because I go through them everyday”. She was unable to take accountability for a possible mistake, who am I to know. I just wanted quality food that I paid for. Read moreFood is very good and that's about it. Meaning the kitchen is the only thing keeping this place busy. Other staff and especially management too often damage the the good reputation of the food. At the moment it's difficult for me to drive and the short walking distance can't be done either. So, I usually ask for delivery. Bad idea. My last 3 orders each had something flakey about them. Example: I was on the phone recently for a delivery and was told we don't send the delivery drivers out with change - I made them aware that I only had a 100 dollar bill to pay with. Amuse yourself with trying to figure that one out. Just an hour ago I received a call from the store to sort out yet another hambone issue. There was clearly an undertone of suspicion toward me about this order that was shortly confirmed when the same person (an owner!) with not the smallest hint of an approaching apology for their drama arrived at the door with my order. With some creeped out air about her, she quickly took my money and, forgetting her manners, bolted without so much as a thank you. Considering the amount of money I've dropped there over the years, I feel, well...insulted and rudely treated.
