Denny's — Restaurant in Town of Geneva

What a joke is all I can say about this establishment!! Corporate needs to pay a visit and see how poorly the management is in this location. Not once but twice now within a week I’ve had a horrible experience. First visit was with my mother where our waitress couldn’t ask what we would like to drink let alone how we wanted our eggs or what kind of toast etc. the food came out sloppy and drenched in grease and sauces. Then our waitress was on her phone screaming about her hours being cut.. Hmmmm wonder why???? She was swearing and making a scene and management did nothing until all the customers were looking in discuss. My visit today however topped the cake and I can say I’ll never go to another Denny’s period I took my 3 children there for lunch. Where we were greeted by a very friendly and clearly overworked waitress she was very kind and apologetic about our situation. We placed our order and proceeded to wait. Meanwhile while trying to keep my children occupied and out of trouble we watched three other parties be seated waited on and served after two of the parties had received their food my children were looking at me and saying dad that’s not fair we were here first I said i know but let’s be patient maybe they forget something. We were told several times our food would be out any minute by several wait staff and the manager on duty after sitting waiting for an hour and twenty minutes I’d had enough. The manager tried to bribe me with a free desert lmfao really I looked at her and said seriously after over an hour waiting with three impatient children that’s what you offer she then said I’m terribly sorry your meals on us it will be out shortly. Five more minutes goes by and we finally receive our order boxed it up and left the food of course is ok for being what it is but seriously over an hour I could have gone to a five star restaurant and waited half the time for a gourmet meal so I say to anyone looking for a quick decent meal go elsewhere because this establishment is a joke and has forever lost my business and that...

So me and my wife went to Denny’s about to weeks ago on a Sunday morning we are remodeling a house we just bought witch bring many trips back and forth to Lowe’s so off to Lowe’s and Denny’s it was around 930 or so when we got there was seated quickly waitress came and go our drink order quickly our visit was going well so she came back to take our order now the it’s was very busy at all so we order and as we r sitting there talking about what all needs to be gotten at Lowe’s about 5 minutes or so has gone by when I realize that the waitress had turned around to take the guys order behind us witch is more then understandable but in this case it was very clear that they were friend that hadn’t see each other in a while so as they talked and getting all caught up our order is waiting to be put in as long as they were talking I feel like I no the guy myself finally our order got put in now we didn’t get anything special all was breakfast stuff eggs pancakes hash browns nothing out of the ordinary so 40 minutes or longer finally got our food I had gotten eggs hash browns toast & sausage the eggs were probably takes to top of the list in the worst food I’ve ever put in my mouth cold just down right Edible the toast was about the same cold and horrible my wife’s breakfast was not as bad as mine but wasn’t good either so then I get the check I look at it 30 bucks and change I almost fell out of the both to back up a minute the hash browns were good didn’t finish the eggs or toast ate to of the sausage out of 3 my wife’s eggs all so were cold and the sausage wasn’t eaten her pancakes weren’t as bad but she didn’t finish them either now we usually will go to breakfast and Connie’s 15 minutes east of Denny’s on 5 & 20 in Seneca falls I just didn’t want to spend the extra time driving past Lowe’s to have breakfast at best at Denny’s the service-1 food 1.5 price lmao ridiculous - 5 my advice is to drive the 15 minutes east to Connie’s good food great service and prices r awesome GOOD BUY DENNYS U GOT MY...

I usually love Denny’s. Never really have a major problem with the service or the food until the other night. I’m torn on ratings-I would give like a 4 or 5 for their usual service, but this time was absolutely unacceptable. I went in, around 11pm, with my boyfriend. We waited a few minutes to be seated (despite the hostess, and I guess supervisor/manager looking right at us). During this wait there was a woman who tried and had been trying to pay. This was fine, I get it, life happens. She told us to sit “anywhere over there”. We did. There was only one other couple on the side of the restaurant. The waiter came over, took their menus and their order and left. We figured he would be back to give us our menus. Nope. We waited for 11 minutes, the waiter was doing nothing but pacing. Me and him made direct eye contact several times, and he walked passed us twice, but no menu was ever brought. Then he went to go seat more people who arrived, but my boyfriend and I and the other couple overheard an argument arise between the new people waiting to be seated and the waiter. They were confused, “where do we sit?” And he responded very aggressive and rude. The situation began to escalate until he was basically yelling at them “so you’re going to tell me how to do my job?” Repeatedly. I think someone needs to! Then he went and grabbed the manager who didn’t seem to do much. He was never reprimanded to my knowledge, we sat right next to where they were all gathered. After this, we decided it was best to leave, I wasn’t going to beg service from that waiter and risk getting yelled at, or leave him the nice tip that we usually do.
