First off, outstanding service. You could not ask for a nicer, more down-to-earth person, who I am assuming is the owner. The quality of the food is superb. Well-seasoned and very fresh tasting. The cabbage is on another level, and much better than the other places I have had locally. In fact I would say the overall quality of the food is better than many of the Jamaican places I have tried in the area. The jerk chicken was superb and perfectly seasoned. The mac and cheese is the real deal, unlike some of the places I have been to. Overall, Aunty's is comparable if not slightly more expensive than these aforementioned places. And while the portions may not be as generous, it was certainly ample, and more than worth it to support a local business serving high quality food. Read moreFirst time there tonight but it certainly won’t be my last. For starters, the welcoming was so genuinely warm and friendly. A very bubbly personality by Aunty herself and boy does she sure knows how to cook. I ordered the jerk chicken, rice and peas (with oxtail sauce), cabbage and plantain meal. Everything is so fresh and flavorful and I even went closer to closing time, in fact, I got the very last of the jerk chicken. Her selection was limited but still a nice variety. If you haven’t been, you don’t know what you’re missing. I highly recommend this place. Probably wouldn’t eat there as there’s no air conditioning but otherwise an absolutely fantastic experience all the way around.
