Salty Bread Pizza Cafe — Restaurant in Town of Greece

My wife and I ended up eating here two days in a row. We came in the other evening, and it was so good we had to come back to try a few more menu items. In the few months we've lived in Rochester we've realized there are a LOT of pizza places here. Most of them mediocre at best. And many have the same story. It was great when the founders ran the place but they sold and retired and things went down hill. But this place, I met the owners. They very much work here, and you can tell they put their life into this place. The pizza is good. The best I've had in Rochester so far, and I've eaten at probably close to 10 pizza joints. The wings are good. I wouldn't write home about them, but they're solid and exactly what I wanted. All that is exactly what we all want from a real pizza spot but the show got stolen by these tater tots. I dont know what mad scientist came up with these but they were good. Like real good. Like something only a wizard would make. A good wizard. Like Gandalf. My wife got some kind of chicken salad and said she loved it. All in all, this place is a solid 10/10. Staff is friendly. I recently moved the area and the first order of business was finding the best local pizzaria. It's important to know who I can turn to when I don't feel like cooking, which is often. Salty Bread exceeds expectations every time. Their ingredients are fresh and all their products are well-prepared. I also love their baked goods, especially their rolls which I always keep in the freezer for when I need some fresh bread at the last minute for a sandwhich. Their employeees are pleasant and helpful. I especially want to single out Colin who did a fantastic job last night when there was an order snafu. I arrived to pick up my pizza and they had no record of my phone order, which had never happened before. Colin was so apologetic and went out of his way to make sure I was happy with his resolution of the issue. A good employee is hard to find. A great one deserves his name...

Can't believe it took me so long to write a review for them, but I guess I can say now that I've tasted much of the menu & have yet to be disappointed! They are the new guys in town but they have quickly become the best too! They have daily, unique specials for pizza & desserts, all very delicious. If u haven't tried a specialty cronut yet, ur def missing out. Get there fairly early as they do sell out of those sometimes. The pizzas are always made with so much care & too shelf toppings that every bite is always a perfect bite. I honestly can't say enough about the food & the employees, you can tell they enjoy their job & care about the food and the customers.
