A local place on the corner of main street that lacks night life, ok granted it was a Wednesday night. The centerpiece of this restaurant in my opinion is the beautiful horse shoe shaped bar in the middle of the restaurant. I typically enjoy a nice clean and clear bar so you can fall into the feeling of the restaurant and see what is happening all around. This bar had bottles of wines lining the bar, in my opinion I would remove the bottles and allow for a more open feel. Personally I felt that the bottles created a barrier between me and the bar tender. The outside tables are tables typically for 2 or 4 people with banquet seating and then chairs. Oh, my God How's this boy treating you? Very good wonderful started The service was attentive but not over bearing which created a relaxed feeling.. I was looking for a wine and cheese bar for a night our for myself. I wanted a place that I have not been to before and yelp directed me here Wines on Aug range from 15 and up for a glass which is not outrageous in price. They had a nice selection of wines and I stepped out of ny own comfort zone of a cab and tried the house Pinot Noir accompanied by the B6 board. Overall I was satisfied with the meat and cheese selection and baguette that was served with it had a nice oil on it. Presentation was well done with one exception in my mind, the breads ticks came in a package. Presentation factor went down with that. Take one of the small wife carafe used to serve the wine and present it in that. Overall I felt something was missing but could not put my finger on it. Overall this place has a great date night vibe.

Perfect place to rest when you’re running around. Stop in once and you’ll enjoy the friendly vibe. Become a regular & get treated like royalty. Of course the food is fresh & delicious. If you don’t feel like drinking ask for the extensive tea menu! It’s the classy “Cheers” of Hastings-on-Hudson Edit: 5 years on and Boro6 has knocked it put of the park. They got their kitchen finished just before COVID shutdown and were able to serve the community with excellent pick up. Now that in-person dining is back, we’ve had great meal after great meal…no false steps. Paul (owner) is on top of his game hiring during this insane employment market fantastic cooks and waitstaff and somehow retaining them. We feel lucky to have this gem within walking distance but we also would drive an hour for this menu. Execution is everything and Boro6 nails it!

Loooove this place, one of my 2 Rivertowns favorites (with MP Taverna, which is pricier & slightly less cool). The vibe here couldn’t be better. Sun streaming in through giant windows on the best stretch of Hastings. The food is great — came back within 10 days for the roasted cauliflower pizzicata, as healthy & delicious (and filling) as could be. And they have afrogato! This European is thrilled to find an Italian classic underappreciated in America. Try it for sure (a hot espresso poured over ice cream). My friend has the amaro sfumato rubarbaro — how could a drink with such a rollicking name not be delicious — and we both exclaimed. Will be back here monthly at least.

This is the 2nd visit to Boro6 the first time food was okay, not outstanding. Decided to give it another go. I’m not sure what makes diners decide to give 4/5 stars to a restaurant.. You can have a great atmosphere, great drinks? But if the FOOD isn’t spot on amazing, 5 Stars is inappropriate. If your service is subpar, that is another strike against you. Last night for us was pretty sour. From beginning to end was a disappointment and a disaster. The waiter came to the table and was doing the basic conversation, with no gusto, very basic, he was presented with a question about the Deviled eggs. He Had no idea About them, he was asked about a suggestion what to Order, he actually read the menu straight down, we stopped him. He had little to no interest in us, as he had bigger fish to fry, and we weren’t it. The food.. Risotto Rice Balls, Extremely bland, .. suggestion to add Serrano to the Risotto.. it will lend much more flavor.. Market Fish, Cod overcooked, extremely small piece 3 clams, 1 was empty, 2 were not worth mentioning. Plate filled with olives and grape tomatoes.. drowning in a broth with overcooked lemon, so bitter.. the paella was decent. Did we say anything to waiter, NO, why? He never once came to the table to ask how things were. When he did pass by we asked him for coffee, he took our plates, and seeing 3/4 of the market fish plate still there, you would guess he’d ask.. he didn’t. An Irish coffee came, to the table, and reminded him about the coffee as we waited 10-15 mins for the Irish coffee.. waiting waiting, no coffee. We were in a deep conversation about a dear friend who just died, and a women who was behind the bar, came to the table, interrupted our conversation, and said “Listen we need this table, you have to leave, we have 4 people waiting and our reservation system got messed up. I said “I’m waiting for coffee, she said I’ll take it off the bill.. I ripped into her like she probably hasn’t heard before.. she said sorry I’ll bring you the Check.. now I’ve been writing about food a long time.. Why this potentially good restaurant runs like this is beyond me. The waiter and her would be fired immediately. I was going to pay the Bill, but someone else grabbed it... as she knew I would have not left a tip.. that is what they work for, And it shows them your satisfaction. This is a very popular restaurant, gets great reviews, it’s Lively and has a great bar area. The Food is 5 at best on a scale from 1-10.. you work all week and want to support your local restaurants, NEVER NEVER again. The best part of the evening was when we left.. we went across the street to a sitting area to continue our conversation, a couple was walking their dog and we started a conversation, and they asked us about Boro6 I was silent and then I said, if you’re into good food, not the place to go..Go for the cheese and charcuterie, they don’t make it.. they just plate it.. Sorry to be so honest, you can read this and dismiss it, or eat elsewhere. Unfortunately this will fall on deaf ears. As it a popular local restaurant that gets great reviews. Most people eat with their eyes, not...

UPDATE: This restaurant had my review removed, and also as of last night returned the unauthorized charge they put through 16.26. I wrote that they used my credit card information they kept on file to put a charge of $16.26 that I did not approve or was even aware of. We had brunch here a couple of weeks ago and it was a terrible experience where the server, Mariam blamed our friend who is diabetic and did not know the waffle on the brunch menu comes already slathered in syrup (most places syrup on side) and asked for another waffle. Mariam told her she would have to pay for a second waffle because it's her responsibility as a diabetic and that it is not her (the restaurant) problem that she should have read the menu. The menu by the way says "with syrup" which does not automatically lead one to understand the kitchen puts the syrup all over the waffle. All 4 of us (at brunch that day at Boro 6) are in food service and have never experienced such bad customer service. We did not want to reward Mariam's bad behavior with a tip, and we shouldn't have to. If Mariam worked for us, she would have been let go- immediately. Now weeks after dining at Boro6 where I already paid for the meal (charge on my bank account says card swiped) this restaurant is using my credit card I fo they have on file to process an additional charge of $16.26 I called my bank and they said the restaurant used my card on file. This is an unauthorized charge, how dare they do this. They should not be allowed to do this and why are they keeping my information and trying to put a charge through more than a week after I have dined here? I am going to look further into this as this should not be something anyone should be able to do, it should be illegal for them to use my card information. I did not know, was not asked, this is an unauthorized charge. They removed my review, the owner doesn't care enough to even respond to mine or Ashley Gisons review (the other people we were with). I wouldn't have taken this any further but now they used my credit card.information they stored to charge me for something i did not authorize and now I cannot just...

I have been coming here for years and in short: I highly recommend it. Not just for wine but for the delicious food, ambiance and the staff is great too. Every time we come here we have a wonderful time, they have literally always brought their A game. I love everything about this restaurant and this review is long overdue.

Now the long story: The location is great. Hastings is a 15 minute drive from the city but makes you feel like you're a whole world away. Boro6 is within walking distance of several unique small businesses including a vinyl shop and boutiques. Everything is centrally located on Warburton ave or on Main Street where you can find plentiful parking. The area is a hidden gem and makes you feel like you're actually in a small town as opposed to minutes from NYC. It's perfect for scenic views of the Hudson, an afternoon stroll, then dinner and a glass of wine at Boro6. Now more about the wine bar... it is so nice to see the attention to detail and how much they genuinely care about the dining experience. Everything is hand crafted. The menu has so many options and they add new items often with well thought out pairings making each visit unique. The food is always delicious.THE WINE! In the last year or so they have released their own house blend which we were very excited to try. Needless to say it did not disappoint. The restaurant is spacious yet still gives the cozy vibes you desire from a wine bar. The staff is so nice, its evident that the owner really cares as you can tell a lot by the way the staff interacts not just with clients but with each other. When I come back I promise to add pictures to my review but after having yet another wonderful experience here I just needed to take a moment out and give them the kudos they deserve. We will definitely...
