Disappointed doesn’t begin to describe my experience. Prices posted online are significantly lower than current prices. Something mgmt should have corrected long ago. The food was old and I’d wager from the day before. My general tos chicken was dried out and hard as a rock, they attempted to mask it by smothering in lumpy, borderline burnt, tacky, day old sauce. The lo-mein was all but non existent as the dish was 3/4 “pork fried” rice. The rice had not a lick of pork and vegetables were scarce. The beef lo-mein also lacked the beef as it only came with 6 or so thin strips. Lastly service wasn’t the best. The individual who took my order was rude, I only received one fried noodle for two soups. Plenty of other places that appreciate customers, serve fresh food, advertise current prices, serve what’s on the menu (if it’s pork fried rice that’s what you get, pork fried rice m. Or if you order beef lo-me in you get just that not a dish of rice with a small side of the main dish) and do not short the customer by packing the containers full of rice and just cover the top with the main dish. Never again, how this place has remained open for so long is crazy. Either people within that part of Hamburg haven’t explored other options, have come accustomed to this robbery, or who knows maybe it’s something entirely different and is just a way to move $$. But whatever it is doesn’t really matter, fact is the food/service is junk and I wouldn’t recommend anyone waste their time money at this place.
Pic is only of lo-neon dishes. First is showing the overwhelming amount of semi fried vegetable rice that is advertised as pork fried rice, also shows the amt of beef that came in tbe lo-mein. That dish, with a soup (that had such mushy old wontons I couldn’t eat it) with tax was $11. Menu posted showed the price being approximately $2 less, which is no big deal when ordering for one but when you are piecing an order together for 7 that makes a difference ESPECIALLY WHEN YOUR DISH IS...
Read moreCheck your order before you leave! Ordered lunch for our office and they shorted my co-worker more than half of her order. I called to rectify it and they went through three people on the phone until they got someone who spoke enough English to understand that I ordered 8 Crab Rangoon and was given only three. This person then told me I was "making it up" and refused to offer me $2 worth of food to make good on a $40 order. The food quality is above average for a local Chinese joint, but not great. Combine that with the fact that they are so cheap and third world to the extent that they clearly do not heat the restaraunt and rely on residual heat from the kitchen to warm the entire frigid dining room and I would stay away! Plus, the previous heat issue would leave me to believe that they cut corners with cleanliness and the children's toys and home furnishings slid into one corner of the store lead me to believe they're living there. Based on those signs, I doubt the place is the cleanest. Try Ginger and Garlic on the corner of McKinley and Clark, the menu is much more limited but the food is of much higher quality and way...
Read moreThis is my favorite place for takeout. I'm not a fan of eating out a lot, but the food here is delicious and fair priced. They always fill the pints up to the very top and the wait for your food is short. They always have good service there, the owners/workers are always friendly and the food NEVER disappoints. This restaurant is very consistent with their food. The only downside for me personally would be the inside itself. It's a little more on the dive side of restaurants. Still this is my favorite place to get a cheap, quick, delicious meal. My personal favorite is any one of the lo meins, general tso's or crab rangoons. If you haven't been here, you NEED to try this place. Absolutely my favorite restaurant in the...
