My name is Joe. I am part of the staff at Vinylbay777, a Record Store located in Plainview, NY. We get food catered from Atlantic Pizzeria on a weekly basis. Their food is always out this world, we truly can't wait for Saturday's lunch. It's always a delicious surprise. The other day my boss asked me to go and pick it up because their driver was doing another catering job. I was a little upset that I had to drive all the way to Freeport but let me tell you... I was so impressed. I couldn't believe my eyes when I walked in. Their counter display is to die for; with different kinds of riceballs, huge stuffed artichokes, stuffed peppers, and a great selection of pizza, too. I mean, I knew that their catering was good since we always got tray of chicken francese or eggplant rollatini and penne alla vodka, but I didn't expect this type of presentation when I walked in. So along with our catering order, I picked out a few extra things for us to try, a stuffed artichoke, an assortment their stuffed garlic knots, a sausage and broccoli rabe rice ball, and a cajun jambalaya riceball. It was too much food for us, but I just had to try. When I arrived at work, everyone was so happy to see Atlantic Pizzeria's trays of delicious food, not to mention my samplings that I picked up when I was there. Everything was outrageous. Nothing compares to Atlantic Pizzeria. I live in Massapequa and I still pass by Freeport on my way home from work just to pick up some food. Their pizza is always cooked to perfection and their crust is amazing. I have yet to find anywhere that is even half as good. i'm new to long island, I lived in brooklyn all my life. now living in baldwin, i realized that it will be harder than i expected to find a pizzeria that is as good as back in brooklyn.. i tried two different places in baldwin and it was just pizza, nothing special...nothing like home.. I found that Freeport has more pizzerias than baldwin so i was sure i would find a good one. after trying three pizzerias in this town, i began to lose hope. while i was in Seven11 complaining about pizza, someone said i should try Atlantic Pizzeria which was pretty much right across the street. so i said what the hell, cant be worse than the cardboard slices ive tried so far on this island and walked over....Let Me Tell You, it was an experience. Probably my BEST long island experience so far, aside from being allowed to make a right at a red light. before i even got in I noticed the blues music playing outside, unusual i thought, but unique. when i got inside, the countergirl laughed as my jaw dropped at the sight of the place. the decor was incredible. i loved the place and i hadnt even had a slice yet! I ordered a regular slice and took a seat. When I took a bite i felt like I was home again. the slice was perfect. it had great taste and and the most perfect crunch. when i took another bite, i realized it wasnt as good as my brooklyn pizza but it was BETTER! they put something on their crust that makes their slices unlike any other pizzerias. To all Italian Food lovers, my name is Kith and I love Italian food especially Pizza and Pizzerias I truly believe that small mamas and papas Italian food places are heart of True Italian Cooking. I have been to hundreds of places and I have seen good and bad places but I need to share this place with you .. Atlantic Pizzeria located on Atlantic avenue in Freeport is like taking a step back in time like how Pizzerias in Brooklyn, Manhattan and the Bronx use to look like. I never seen a counter display like this pizzeria.From 6 different stuffed garlic nut to about 7 to 8 different Rice balls to stuff Mushrooms, Peppers, Zucchini and Eggplant . The amount of specialty pizza and rolls they had was overwhelming, I had a 3 layer Eggplant slice and sausage roll the first thing I noticed was how crispy the crust was then how good the sauce tasted. I know I have found my new pizza place.
