Currywala Indian cuisine — Restaurant in Town of Hempstead

I called ahead to check if they had a dining option and was told they were already full. We then placed a pick-up order and were told it would be a 45-minute wait. After waiting that long, we still received the wrong order. I had ordered Chicken Manchurian, but instead was given Veg Manchurian. When I called to explain the mistake, the staff (Yogesh) insisted that chicken wasn’t even on the menu—despite the fact that I had specifically asked for a chicken dish recommendation while ordering, and was guided towards a chicken option.

The fried rice was poorly made and extremely disappointing. The only redeeming item was the chikoo milkshake, which was good.

Overall, the service was unprofessional, poorly managed, and dismissive. Yogesh in particular handled the situation very poorly. The owner seemed like a nice person, but the staff’s lack of customer care, time management, and accountability made the entire experience frustrating and...

I saw all the IG posts and the good looked so good so i stopped in on my way home from work to get dinner for my family. Chicken Korma, chicken biryani, butter naan, hakka noodles and daal tadka and white rice. When I got home we were missing one item. THE NAAN! So I called the restaurant to see if they could deliver the order. Unfortunately they dont offer delivery at this location. So the guy i spoke to said I could come in another day and he would remember. I happened to be near there a few days later and brought my husband and 2 of my kids in eat a late lunch. The food was amazing, just like the food I took home. This time we had lamb karahi, lamb biryani, white rice and hakka noodles with chicken. DO NOT SLEEP ON THIS PLACE! Just came back from dinner at Currywala and I had to run here to write these guys a review. Amazing does not even describe how good the food was. This is the first time after moving to Long Island that my husbamd and I lobed every single dish we ordered. The restaurant itself is a small unassuming place with just a few tables. Bit the service is so warm and friendly. The food is incredible. The highlight for me was the Tandoore Panneer. But to be honest EVERY dish was out of this world. Butter chicken, Pani Puri, Onion Bhaji, Chicken Angara, Lamb Makhani! Zafrani rice - a must! Onion and cheese Kulcha - do your taste buds a favour! To top it all off - it is BYOB..
