Happy Group Restaurant — Restaurant in Town of Hempstead

The food is expensive but usually good. Today I ordered food after my child's hockey game. It was after 9, but the food is too expensive to reheat old food which is what they did. The chicken looks awful and tasted worse and the rice wasn't good either. Im going to call them in the morning. I've eaten their chicken before and it's always stellar. THIS however is enough to take stars away and never patronize them again. They also don't know how to use Apple/Google pay. Every time I go there and try yo pay, instead of just placing the sensor where i can just scan, the cashier picks the scanner up and moves it around making the sensor hard to scan anything. Then she always tells me, 'it's not working'. May be minor to some, but it irritates me, especially since their food is so much more than other Chinese restaurants in the area.

I threw my food out. I guess because I don't eat a lot of take out food,, I just couldn't eat it. The vegetable fried rice was tasteless and the chicken was just greasy and weird texture. Maybe most of the people who love this food are used to it, but I remember Chinese food that was much, much better than this. The prices are too high for the quality. On top of it, I got four wings and one was a half wing. I don't mind spending money for good tasting, quality food, but this wasn't it!!! And the older women was nasty I asked about the ingredients before deciding what I want (not everyone eat this crap everyday) and she just wanted me to hurry up and give her my money. Called at 4pm for a delivery order- they told me it would take 45 minutes. After an hour i called to see how much longer it would be- they told me 5 minutes- 15 minutes later i call back and ask where they are, they tell me another 5 minutes- ANOTHER 15 minutes later i call, they tell me "hold on, were going to call our driver..." after ANOTHER 15 minutes the restaurant calls me to tell me they never recieved my order and asked if i still want my food- apparently, according to whoever i spoke to on the phone, when you call the restaurant- your call is answerd by a telephone answering service and that they had never even recieved my order- this place used to be the best chinese food in all of merrick...not so...
