I did not know what to expect. Neighborhood gem is what I can say. The hostess was so sweet, and the manager was amazing. Attentive to my guest and I. She came with a nice sour dough bread that was crispy on the outside and warm and soft on the inside. It was perfect with the soft butter and olives. Ordered fried calamari which was amazing also! Ordered the pear salad which was a huge portion and nice. The spinach gnocchi was a nice touch and was good. The salmon was good with the mango sauce, in addition to a nice white wine which was't too dry. It came with nicely grilled asparagus and mash potatoes. The bottle of white wine was perfect to match with the food. The tiramisu dessert was very good. It was truly a very nice a surprising place. I would definitely return for the service and food!! Met some nice people there too. My 3rd visit I was here with 2 people that reviewed the restaurant. Hazel and Staunton from March 17. I can certainly understand and empathize with their extremely negative reviews and it's their prerogative. Just wanted to add some perspective. The manager / bartender / server / everything else was all alone and when they arrived it was close to 10pm and she was alone and had been working for 11 hours at that time. Also they did not know she has been working 2 weeks straight without a days rest. Yes, their bread did come out a little burnt on the outside. Quite frankly I like a little burnt on my bread! The kitchen was a little behind. It was unexpected the amount of people dining after 9pm. There also were a couple of demanding customers that she was trying to please. They really took good care of her in tips and compliments. In addition, there was alot of the regulars at the bar and she is the only one making and preparing drinks and getting food from the kitchen for the entire restaurant. The couple above did leave in a huff, which was their right. The manager did compensate for their meals and continuously apologized for the night and was truthful and forthcoming. They would not hear it or have it. They did not leave any tip which is also their desire. The manager was distraught after seeing the review. She also said she would really cater to them if they returned. I doubt that they will return. We ordered pasta fajole, eggplant rollatini, broccoli Rabe and the seafood combo. All were excellent with a bottle of white wine. We were not in a rush to eat and it come out nice and slow!! Just like being in Europe. .. enjoy your company and great food! The garlic white wine sauce in the seafiod combo which had mussels, clams, big shrimps was really very good!! I would certainly have that again. My 4th visit was on Monday. Was again surprisingly good. The restaurant had a few people and the manager was looking to redeem herself. She was extremely attentive. We ordered the house salad, chicken Parm, broccoli Rabe, fettuccine cabonara and we had a very nice wine to match with the food. It was a great meal. Topped off the meal with dessert of Peanut butter chocolate bomb and a tiramisu...Wow Da Bomb!

My experience on March 17th was absolutely horrible. The waitress was seemingly tipsy, too much, loud and completely unprofessional. Gave her the benefit of doubt because she was the only one working the floor. However, there were two and a half others tables with two guest at each out of 10 other tables that were empty as she stayed socializing with three men at one singular table. We asked for bread three times and after 30 mins received the burnt bread in the picture. We had to remind her after each of her “flirting/socializing” sessions with table of men guests, about our appetizers as she said she FORGOT. And we waited for food for over 40 mins.I decided before the food even came out for her to give us the check and pack our food after 40 mins of waiting because I became highly upset. She even forgot to put in the order correctly and when we mentioned she apologized that the kitchen was closed. She even went as far as to tell us the manager/ owner was out of town and how he didn’t care what happened in which we were so thrown off. The one appetizer we received after 30 mins of waiting was good but service was UTTERLY unacceptable for the type of place it look like it was. This was terrible for first time experience at a place that I thought looked and felt high class.

I recently dined at this restaurant and unfortunately had a very negative experience due to the poor service. Our waitress appeared to be intoxicated and was not attentive to our needs. We waited 40 minutes for our food, and when the burnt bread was served, she told us to eat the middle since it was not burnt. She forgot to include the protein in my pasta and lied about it, claiming that I never asked for it. The waitress dropped glasses, causing glass to hit my foot, and didn't promptly respond to requests for more bread and water. Each time she came to our table, we had to signal her, and she spent most of her time at a table with three men from her high school, neglecting her other customers. However, when our food did arrive, it was delicious. I would probably only order takeout next time to avoid the disgusting customer service. Additionally, the waitress shared that her boss was out of the country in Italy, and said he said not to call him even if the restaurant was burning down. This type of behavior is completely unprofessional and unacceptable. Overall, the experience was unprofessional, careless, and disappointing. From the moment we walked in, we were welcomed with smiles. The atmosphere was pleasure and welcoming.. The décor is nice and romantic, great for date night. The servers were super helpful and answered any questions we had. Just for perspective, my gf is a vegetarian and i am a omnivore. We started our food journey with some drinks Pino Grigio wine & a Vodka Tonic (good & strong) and then some appetizers. We got the veg (mushroom) calamari which was okay, more fried batter than the mushroom itself. The seitan meatballs were awesome!! I love meatballs and yes, i could tell it wasn't real meat but you really get the flavor of a real meatball, its all in the sauce baby! The buffalo cauliflower was the highlight of appetizers; So flavorful and not just the outer parts, the flavor seeped into the cauliflower. We then move onto the next level of this adventure to the entrées. We ordered the Linguine With Oyster Mushroom Scampi & the Chicken, Spinach and Artichoke Fettucine. The Linguine With Oyster Mushroom Scampi was good but a little too lemony (her and i don't like lemony food) but none the less it was very flavorful. The the Chicken, Spinach and Artichoke Fettucine was the best i ever had!! The sauce was so tasty and the chicken flavorful from within. We also got 2 sides, the sautéed spinach & sautéed broccoli which were both equally good! Overall, our experience was great, friendly welcoming staff, clean romantic décor and the food was fantastic. What more can you ask for? We will...

I usually go to Copaigue location but when I learned about Lynbrook location, I met up with one of my friends for late lunch at Lynbrook location. When we entered the place was dated and slight musty smell. I asked the older man who was serving us if they have beyond burger and he went on and on about how they serve that. I told him that I had beyond burger at Copaigue location few months ago but he said they never serve that and asked in an arrogant way "why would I serve someone that you get in a store". He then said he is the owner and he knows what is served however the way he is dressed he didn't appeared to be the owner but I'm not going to argue with him. I settle for Seitan burger. The burger came out a little overcooked, I did not send it back because I don't trust the server. I noticed that he was not checking on our table but he checked on other patrons who were there. I had to flag him down multiple times for water and other things and he gave this energy that he didn't want to be bothered. A nice African American woman arrived to wait tables and she was very attentive and friendly. I think the so called owner felt a certain kind of way because I asked about a food item which I think it's stupid. I made sure that I gave the tip to the young woman and thanked her for her service. For the older server/"owner", At the end of the day if your tip will match the energy that you gave me. I will stick to Suffolk...
