Let me start with a couple of positive comments. The food is delicious and the portions are generous. That being said, when you leave you house to dine you want the whole package. The entire staff other than the hibachi chefs seemed irritated. It was not a pleasant welcome when we walked in. The wait was extremely long that I looked up reserve a table at another hibachi and I would have had time to make it there, but since I didn't know at the time how long the wait would be, I stayed thinking it couldn't be more than another fifteen minutes or so. Every time we asked how long the wait would be they circumvented giving us an actual time by saying they are clearing the tables and we will get seated soon. It turned out that we would have been better off going to the other Hibachi-we should have left. We decided to make the best of it since we was already there. We got seated and the service was rushed. The waiter looked liked she was too busy that to even take the time to even listen properly while she took out order that we had to keep on repeating ourselves. The Chef tossed a piece of food for a child to catch in his opened mouth and he missed. The little boy grabbed the food and tossed it back on the grill and the chef removed the piece of vegetable from the grill and kept on cooking like this never happened. This happened twice and the parent reprimanded the child. I was thankful I didn't have steak because it happened while the steak was cooking. After we ate, or food was packed and we were waiting for the dessert menu when a hostess informed us that there were a lot of people waiting for hibachi so we should move. A diner who sat near us got annoyed and yelled at her that we didn't even get out checks yet and her daughter was celebrating a birthday and didn't even get the cake yet. A server pulled the hostess a side and told her that there were other tables with guests who were there before us and should be leaving soon. I thought this was very distasteful and left me with no appetite to return. Good, friendly service is the least one could invest in a business and that was...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreYesterday evening I came around 8:40 to eat dinner. Prior to going I called to inquire if they were still open and I was informed by a women who expressed yes they were open but not for Hibachi. When I arrived two ladies were behind the cashier (and older Chinese lady and a tall Chinese lady, who was much younger) and I asked for a table for two. The older Chinese later stated āonly sit downā in a stern unwelcoming tone and I then stayed āyes I know. I just called and I am not sure if it was you who just told me or maybe another lady told me.ā She proceeded to go on and on about Hibachi seating and we can not sit there in a stern and nasty matter. I then replied to her āYes I know, as I said I just calledā We were then seated, 20 mins passed no waiter or waitress came, my boyfriend went to request service⦠our food came as we were eating hair was all on my boyfriends riceā¦I told the waiter and as soon as he walked away with the food he was laughing as he went to tell the Older Chinese Women, as well as, while walking to tell the Chefs in the back. When he returned I asked him whatās so funny? Is it funny that hair was in my food? and I informed him that I hope it was doesnāt intentionally. He said oh nothing. I informed the Chinese older women, who happened to be the manager and her statement was why would we do that intentionally. BS donāt eat from there we come and support them and they have no respect for us..Itās .just an higher end hood Chinese restaurant, whose doesnāt respect us as customers. Things happen when you go out to eat..I get it but what is so funny LUMIX? IS IT FUNNY THAT I NOTICED YOUR NASTY DISRESPECTFUL CRUEL INTENTIONS OF PUTTING HAIR ALL IN MY FOOD. NOT TO MENTION MS. MANAGER WENT TO THE BACK PRIOR TO US ORDERING AND...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreRACIAL PROFILING!!!!! My and my fiancĆ© Usually get takeout from here because We own a salon and spa in Rockville centre and it is convenient, because Iām a sushi lover. Unfortunately, tonight I was racially profiled by the bartender and the rest of the staff there⦠me and my fiancĆ© ordered our usual takeout; paid, and went to the bar to have a drink until the food was ready.. we had 1 drink each and a duck roll. We asked the bartender to give us our bill since we will only be having one drink and an appetizer, so we can pay. She ignored us and removed herself from behind the bar. She came back like 20 mins later and gave us the bill, which came up to $53 and disappeared again. We openly left $60 where we were sitting (mind you, we were the only ones at the bar) which we do at every restaurant/bar if the server isnāt present (like most ppl do). Without checking our checkbook or even where we were seated and ate, The whole staff including the takeout lady ran out after us to ask if we paid, WITHOUT EVEN CHECKING OUR TABLE/SEAT. -_- this is 2022 and black people are still being racially profiled EVERY DAY!! BECAUSE WE ARE BLACK!!! why didnāt they check our table like it should be done?? Instead they chased after us in the parking lot to embarrass us on front of other people, I will not be back here and I do not encourage my people to either. We are the most...
