New Sing Mee Kitchen — Restaurant in Town of Hempstead

Tried to scam me. Good food though.

I placed an order online with card and waited 45 minutes for the food. When i called they said that beyond menu had cancelled the order and if i would like to order again. First off, if it was cancelled, why was i not notified? I said sure to ordering again (even though the wait was another 45 min) because i just wanted food and opted to pay in cash. After i hung up i checked my bank acount and sure enough they had taken the money from my card. Angry and confused i called beyond menu and they said that the order was shown as completed by the restaurant. Since this wasn't true, they immediately cancelled the transaction for me. 2 stars - Bad...

I called in a pick up order at 12:25pm, arrived to pick it up and I see the lady putting a dish of rice in the microwave. I asked her if that was the rice that I ordered. She ignored me and gave it to the guy cooking. When I saw him put sesame chicken on top, I asked again. She gave me some run around about how they just opened so they don't have rice cooked. They opened over an hour before I ordered and were trying to serve me food that wasn't even cooked the same day. Absolutely ridiculous.

If my order would have taken longer if they had to cook rice, they could've just told me it'll be 20 minutes instead...

It's not too often I get Chinese food since it's just usually my son and I, and he's just too picky! But, I ordered from here (for the first time!) last weekend when he was away with friends, and the food did not disappoint! This will absolutely be my go-to from now on - which will definitely be more often!! Yummy... really hit the spot for me, that's for sure. More of a pickup or delivery choice for me. It has a couple of tables if you wanted to sit, but I'd prefer to bring it home - not really a going out to...
