Have you ever traveled with your taste buds? Well, not too long ago, I was looking for a place to have lunch because all I had for breakfast was two packs of instant oatmeal. I digress. I went to Rincon Colombiano since it's close to my office. I don't eat meat, so I choose a shrimp dish off the menu. While looking at the menu, the dish looked kinda small for the price. But I decided to take a chance and order because while rationalizing it in my mind, I figured it would cost the same in gas money to find another spot, and I would really pay with my time. I didn't want to waste any time I was hungry for food but not fast food. I wanted real food! I asked what did the shrimp dish come with, and they said six soda craker đ«„ ( it reminded me of that Eddie Murphy joke where he said if someone hadn't eaten in days and you give them a cracker to eat it would be the best cracker they ever had in their life, lol) So I ordered it to go. When the order came out, they were kind enough to give a sample of something that looked like a bun.
When I got back to my office, I grabbed a plate, opened the cracker pack, spread the shrimp and the sauce it came with, and took a bite. From the first bite, I was impressed. Everything tasted so fresh! The shrimp, the herbs, the tomatoes. This dish had favors. I felt like I took a trip to taste the Colombian culture all on a soda cracker. I was impressed. When I was half done, I felt like I understood it more. The soda cracker has the crunch that compliments the rest of the dish. I get it, and I am okay with it (it being the price for the amount). It was more about the experience on the end of my fork. I hope that they give twelve crackers rather than six. Yes, I plan on eating here...

Food: We tried the bandeja paisa all cooked to perfection the pork rind "el chicharon" was crisp as it should be. The empanadas you could tell the outer shell were homemade and the filling scrumptious. The piña colada was creamy and delicious.
