Salisbury Tavern Sports Bar & Grill — Restaurant in Town of Hempstead

I gave this place a shot thinking I wouldn’t really dig it— but now I go here all the time. They make an excellent Moscow mule. Their food is also really good. I almost don’t wanna write this and tell more people cause I wanna make sure I can always get a spot at the bar when I go lol.

Things I’ve tried and recommend: wings meatballs app (so good) goodfella (i think that’s what it’s called) their Mac n cheese (but next time I would add bacon- do it!)

I always have a great experience here, food and drinks on point. Sometimes it’s just crowded and I’m more low key like a relaxed atmosphere, but at least usually the chaos is more contained...

Put in an order on door-dash tonight. First, the restaurant does not allow the customer to add notes to the order for allergies, or requests to omit/add something. That is not good to start. So I called after I placed the order tonight to make 2 requests: make the fried rice without eggs due to allergy and be sure to add Buffalo sauce on the side for the chicken tenders...... of course there was egg in the friend rice and the tenders/fries came without the Buffalo sauce and in fact, there was not even ketchup in the bag. This was not complex request and the girl taking the request on the phone got nothing right. Crossed...

The food was great, atmosphere nice, not quiet, pubby, casual. Service was great.

Of most importance that I want to commend the Tavern on, is we were there with a special needs adult and the staff's response. The server and the managers/owners all came by to ensure plates were ordered and delivered all per needs. In addition to serving appetizers and entrees for 4 others that were spot on. Baked clams, Meatball salad (Grandpa's meatball salad, sounds weird, but just try it.)

I had Salisbury Cheesesteak Hero, yum and leftovers were just as good .
