First time here and we were very satisfied. Me and my dad went with my cousin and her husband because our friend was going to join the singer Mike who performs there on Thursdays. They did a couple of duets. The music is set up in the bar area but is very loud so you can hear it throughout the whole restaurant. Most of rest of the seating is not viewable to the bar area but the singer does walk around a little bit. It's all about the music on Thursdays, so if you're going there to have a conversation it might be a bit tough. Mike was great!! He has a an amazing voice and did a lot of classic standards and some Italian music. When he did some classic dance music we got up and danced a bit with a few other patrons. My senior dad loves to dance so that was the whole point of bringing him there. He loved it!! That said I didn't know what to expect of the food, but it was very good! I don't typically do parmesan because of the calories but some of the Google reviews mentioned the chicken parm so I figured I'd give it a try. My dad and my cousin had the chicken parm and I had the veal parm. The meat was tender, the mozzarella was good quality and the sauce was tasty. My other cousin had the sausage parm parm and enjoy it. Our singer had the grilled chicken with broccoli rabe and mozzarella and said it was very good. I think I would have that next time because the meat isn't breaded and it's a little less calories. You have a choice of salad or pasta with the meal and the house salad was very good with lots of olives! After a bit of a wait to put our order in because they were very busy our waiter was very good, and checked on a price for us on a wine which wasn't on the menu but they did have, our favorite: montepulciano. And it was a very good montepulciano too! Later he tempted us with some dessert so we ordered two cannolis but each plate had two on them so we were surprised and pleased! They were fresh and too delicious.. LOL. I heard the tiramisu is very good too but we didn't try it. We ordered a bottle of wine that the waiter told us was $43 but he only charged us 40. And he only charged for two cannolis even though he served four, and gave our singer a complimentary glass of prosecco. So we felt he was very generous and we generously tipped in return. Parking is a little bit tricky in the area, but we would definitely return...
Read moreI live a few blocks from this establishment. I have to say the food is very good but the place is run by a bunch of incompetent morons. One time I ordered delivery of a Cesar salad and cheesy garlic bread and was told it arrive in 45 mins. An hour and a half later I got my food and the cheesy garlic bread was cold. Mind you I live no more than 4 blocks away. I complained to the manager and he was nice to give us a future credit. More recently I called to make a simple order of just 1 cheese pizza pie and the person taking my call couldn’t even find my phone number nor get it right after multiple times of me having to repeat it. I then gave him the phone number of my wife and he repeated the address which was wrong and had to correct him. I asked him to repeat the address he had on file after I corrected him only to be told they have it in the system. After struggling for 5 minutes to try and get my order in and to make sure it wasn’t going to the wrong address, I got frustrated and told him I was going to order from another place and then was hung up on. Never will I pay another dime to this place. The food is good but what good does that do if it arrives to you cold, to the wrong address or if it takes you 5 mins to try and order a regular cheese pie. Steer clear unless you want to lose your brain cells trying to order or enjoy...
Read moreI have ordered take out from this restaurant before, consistently generous portions and very fresh and delicious. I had the pleasure of dining there last night. we anticipated that the weekend before Valentine’s Day would be somewhat crowded, but we were seated right away our waitress being very accommodating and friendly. They had a live band with a nice selection of music. It wasn’t so loud that we couldn’t hear ourselves talk which was nice. The atmosphere was casual and welcoming, you can tell that this is a much loved neighborhood establishment. I ordered one of the specials of the night which was Pappardelle pasta with onions, mushrooms, and shrimp with a flavorful brown sauce it was delicious and the shrimp were cooked to perfection! My boyfriend opted for traditional shrimp scampi and spaghetti which was fabulous. Also want to mention that we started out with the calamari which came with a spicy marinara sauce, we also asked for regular sauce and they happily accommodated us. The portions were generous, so generous that we unfortunately didn’t have room for dessert! next time, because we will surely be back. Highly recommend this little...
