South Shore Craft Brewery — Restaurant in Town of Hempstead

Attempted to visit this brewery this past Sunday with my brother. I drove out from Staten Island. We arrived around 8pm. The hours posted on various sites stated they were open to 9pm. As we were walking up we saw cars parked out front and multiple tables occupied with patrons enjoying a beer. When we got to the door, it was locked. After knocking on the doors a few times without an answer, I proceeded to knock on the glass garage door in hopes to get one of the bartender’s attention. It was at that point where a blonde woman, who I presumed to work there, alerted the man behind the bar of our presence. The man behind bar refused to turn around and proceeded to shrug his shoulders. At that point my brother and I left and took our business elsewhere. I can only imagine how many times this has happened and how much money this has cost the brewery. It is safe to say we will not be returning. ABSOLUTE DISRESPECT!!! I put in my money into their open jukebox only to be told this song is killing the vibe and that he has a business to run. How about we start with letting paying customers not only pay for your mediocre beers but let them freely listen to music from their own choosing out of your open jukebox especially after a cringe night of karaoke where 50 year old nags butcher one song after another. A grown ass drunk man can sing absolutely horribly to Brittany Spears yet a paying customer can’t listen to Nirvana unplugged which is one of the greatest albums of all time. This is coming from a former customer who was there regularly at least two to three times a month. You run your business and I’ll kill the vibe with my dignity and respect at another establishment who appreciates...

Absolutely love this place. My friends and I come here often and they have amazing beer that rotate often and great prices. The staff is chill and they have cool events. I cannot stress this enough they have some phenomenal beers.

Updating this quite some time later: They're still the same friendly brewery they were in my original review but even better! They have some new games and plenty of new events and beers for you to enjoy!

Updating yet again: this place is consistent! The beer is just as good and they keep improving with new events. I went to their first Smash Bros Ultimate tournament tonight and had an absolutely fantastic time and it'll only get better as they work...
