Bay Park Dog Park — Attraction in Town of Hempstead

Fendi had a good time by himself. I did want him to run a little bit more but he was by himself so I couldn't expect much. The dog park is very clean, they have bags for the doggies going to the bathroom, and a water fountain for the dogs. The grass was cut. It's a nice area and Fendi wanted to go to the side for the big dogs but I stayed within the park guidelines. When I go there again. I hope there will be other dogs where Fendi can play with. It's a nice and safe dog park. And the people are respectful of one another. There is a play pin for the big dogs and one for the littler dogs to interact with one another. But they could do better with the water fountain use to give the dog's water after running. The water fountain is very slow and the dogs get kind of impatient. they use AstroTurf that substitutes as grass that is unsanitary and smells really bad at times. Other than that, it makes for a...

Really enjoy going to this park. Love that it's separated for big and small dogs. The East Rockaway Channel makes for a nice backdrop. Wish it had a few more benches to sit comfortably but you can always bring your own chair. they have water bowls and a hose to keep your dog hydrated or to help clean up any messes.
