Taqueria El Rinconcito — Restaurant in Town of Hempstead

We can to eat here because my dad wanted mexican food. And a guy recommended this and said it was great it was far from great. We've had better food in md where im from since im visiting here. We are a party of 6 ,2 were infants and we all ordered differnt dishes. From the min we were seated and ordered our food we had to wait 25 minutes to get our food. I ordered a Pollo con limon (chicken with lemon) and with sides of rice and potatoes. Im thinking im getting im getting a whole potato cut up what i got was fries. I should have taken the fact that the restaurant was practically empty as the first red flag. The menu prices posted inside are not accurate, and the cashier made no effort to mention the changes or put up any signs. That lack of transparency feels misleading. Went here for the fist time last week. Walking in At first you know it's a mom and pop kinda restaurant. Small menu but had some good choices. Ended up with the pork tacos and a few little things. The food is all scratch made home cooking. It was good but a little on the expensive side. May go back...
