Family Pizzeria (Inwood) — Restaurant in Town of Hempstead

The cook and the other guy at the counter are braindead. A few months ago I simply said I wanted a gyro with just the meat and sauce,no vegetables.they were clueless did not understand a word I said,they asked me five times over and over how I wanted my gyro,I kept repeating the same thing. Then they send the cook out and he's asking me how I want the gyro,at this point I said forget and just left.

Now tonight,again I order a gyro just the meat and sauce I ask for. I get home with the gyro and it's this sad generic looking thing with a few pieces of meat and "no sauce". So I go back and tell counter boy there is "no sauce" on my gyro. To my amazement,it blew my mind,the cook comes out and ask me what I wanted in my gyro. I told him "you're the same from that morning that couldn't get my order right then".

I'm done with this place already,I tried. They need a better cook,or some kind of that can explain orders or...

Ordered last week because I really wanted an antipasto salad. I asked for no carrots but it was loaded with them, a long with a bunch of other things that don't belong in an antipasto. There was a wedge of lettuce was just thrown in there. The pizza was mediocre, not great but nothing to complain about. If not for the antipasto, I wouldn't have tried this spot. Overall the pizza isn't bad at all. Since moving to Rockaway/5 Towns area, I've been trying every pizza place around to find my new go to spot. Coming from Howard Beach/Ozone Park area, I have a high standard for my pizza. And every place I've tried since moving has been total garbage.
