If anything good can come out of this pandemic, it's the opportunity to try new restaurants.
I usually order thru Slice and my usual pizzeria wasn't doing orders through the app any more. Vincenzo's came up as a suggestion, had good reviews, so figured I'd try them. I'm originally from Queens and know what good pizza tastes like. Vincenzo's tastes like Queens pizza - cheesy, gooey and delicious. I've been using them every Friday. Delivery guy is always very friendly. Once the pie was a little burnt, but they took care of it. I ordered the 3 for $25 deal - 3 heroes, any heroes. I thought I would get a little sandwich. Nope. Each one was packed to capacity. I was dying for cannoli and ordered one, but they forgot to bring it. The driver came back with my dessert and that made my night! I needed a spoon to eat this thing. One of the best cannoli I've ever had.
I am happy to say that we now have a regular pizza place to order from. Can't wait to try the other dishes!
Update 9/19/20 - Unfortunately, have to downgrade this pizzeria. I've been a regular customer for months. Last night order was EXTREMELY late. Ordered at 6:15, didn't come until 7:45, an hour and a half later. I called 3 times. First time, put on hold and never came back. Second time, picked up and was told that it would be there within 10 -15 minutes (this was when I called after an hour going by. I had told the person that). No apology for the delay. Waited 10 minutes, called again. Got excuses. Slice never put order in, they had to look at website, just sent out 10 minutes ago. Once again, no apology for the delay. I get it if you're short staffed. I get it if the driver is new. I get it if it's extremely busy. None of that was offered as to why my delivery was late. All they had to say was "I'm sorry.." Never heard it. It never was said. I'm sorry, but you've just...

Read moreIf you owned a pizza shop, is the the kind of meatball hero you would be proud to sell?
It took an hour to arrive, which I wouldn't even care about if it was great.
The meatball hero was skimpy, wet, and soggy. The calzone my mother ordered was also soggy and floppy as well.
I asked them to toast the bread, which it was, but what difference does it make when it's wet?
She bought a calzone from Scambatis in Massapequa last week, and it was off the charts amazing.
We haven't gone here in a while, and I couldn't remember why, so I said lets give them another shot.
Now I know why we stopped ordering from here.
Look, I really don't like giving one-star reviews to businesses, but what a disappointment 😔
Come on, Vincenzo's can do better...
