Western Beef Supermarket — Restaurant in Town of Hempstead

This is very upsetting. This western beef s great but they need to be aware of the employee's they hire. I went to do my regular shopping like I always do. Usually in cash I will spend about 300 hundred and change. In EBT usually 700 hundred. When I went to purchase my items a young cashier ask me if I wanted bags? I told him I have EBT so I should get them with the the EBT.

He let us know that they had no paper bags. I told him we didn't want the other bags. We just use the ones we have and carry the rest. We shouldn't have to be force to buy bags when they suppose to have both sets for their customers. He try to accommodate us with a few bags which was very nice of him.

After all our items was purchased my husband swiped the card and put our pin in. This manger paced back and forth like we were stealing. We asked her for cool aid packets, she acted like that was an issue. She came up to our register looking over her cashier and our card didn't go through. As she just stared at us like we couldn't purchase our items the cashier asks us would you like to try again? I said yes, swiped and put the pin in and it went through. My husband put the wrong pin in.

As we started to leave she tells us he only charged you for 1 bag. I said oh he didn't charged it off the EBT? She let me know no. I told her no problem I give back the bags or Ill check and see if I have cash in my car because I left my debit card by accident rushing out. I check my car I had some change but the wrong debit card I usually keep back up. I gave them $2.16. The total was $4.16

Before we can hand the bags back, the manger tells the cashier what's wrong with you? You want to get fire for these people. Afterwards she turns around and say can I have my bags back? I was so disgusted and upset. Who is these people? I gave her the bags back which was never a issue.

George the manager on the night tour of 6/15/17 8pm VERY RUDE so I picked up some fish from the back of the fish market the guy wrapped it up for me I picked up a few more items I got home I was about to wash and clean the fish as I unwrap the bag it smelled very fishy on the hi end we all know when fish smells like that its not fresh mind you I live 3mins away went back to the store George states he cant refund me or make an exchange because I didn't have the original receipt I then showed him on my phone app of my credit transaction and the sticker that was put on the bag from the fish market with all their info on it he still wont give an exchange I told him ask your cashier why I dont have my receipt HE STATES HE WENT HOME HMMMHHH THE REASON FOR ME NOT HAVING ONE IS BECAUSE THE REGISTER WAS JAMMED SO I DIDN'T THINK WAS A BIG DEAL. I've been to this store often to redeem my WIC checks but lastnight I was denied by front manager Vera and manager George although I assured them I got the items before on WIC at this very same location. Vera asked me what was the name of the person who allowed me to get it and how did they look. I felt like I was being interrogated, when she called George he immediately said NO. George and I went over to a list posted and he didn't even have the decency to read it, he simply said we don't take it and went on about his work. I felt really embarrassed.
