Have lived and worked in Northport for the last couple of years, and certainly appreciate all the great places to eat, both large and small. There is certainly a wealth of Italian places, most if not all worth trying. So after hearing alot of positive stories, off to Fattusco's Ristorante and Pizzeria, I went. A quick review of the menu makes it was obvious this local establishment, is known for its classic Italian American fare and welcoming atmosphere. It functions as both a casual pizzeria and a more traditional sit-down restaurant, offering a diverse menu that caters to various preferences.
The times I have been to Fattusco's it was to enjoy their large selection of Pizza; please see the pics for a couple of choices. Obviously, Fattusco's specializes in traditional Italian dishes that are beloved comfort foods. You'll find a wide range of options, from pizzas and pastas to more elaborate entrees.
I give the pizzeria side high praise, from Thin-crust, hand-tossed pies like the classic Margherita to Specialty pies, like Balsamic Chicken, BBQ Chicken, and Broccoli Rabe & Sausage pizza; its all been fresh and delicious.
On my next visit the Pan pizzas, including "Nonna's" (crispy thin crust with fresh mozzarella and San Marzano sauce) and "Grandpa's Sfincione" (similar to Nonna's with sweet balsamic, caramelized onions, and bread crumbs) all will be involved...:
The wide selection continues with stuffed pizzas, with vegetable or meat fillings. Even an "MVP slice": A unique offering with a trio of marinara, vodka, and pesto sauces on a crispy, sesame-seed-crusted grandma pie-esque square crust.
Beyond Pizza, they offer a full menu including: Appetizers (Calamari Fritta, Mozzarella Fritta, Baked Clams Oreganata, and "refined" garlic knots). Salads (Mozzarella Caprese, Insalata Arlecchino), and traditional Caesar and Greek salads. Pasta dishes: linguine with white clam sauce, chicken vodka with linguini, and pappardelle with boneless short rib ragu. Entrees: Including chicken parm, and other traditional Italian dishes.
Fresh ingredients are obvious and the portions look substantial and a very good value.
It's a kid-friendly establishment, making it suitable for family outings. While maintaining a cozy feel, the restaurant has a modern decor. Try the "fine dining" side from the quick-service area for a more intimate experience.
A friendly and attentive Staff makes an immediate positive impact: Consistently, courteous, attentive, and friendly staff, including the owners, who are gracious and dedicated.
Fattusco's offers options for dining in, taking out, or delivery, providing flexibility for customers. The ambiance is generally lively but not overwhelmingly loud.
There is no doubt that Fattusco's lives up to its reputation as a "neighborhood gem" in Northport, it certainly has earned its strong community following. Please try its delicious and consistent Italian food, particularly its diverse pizza offerings and popular dishes; always offering a warm and welcoming environment.
If you're in the Northport area and looking for a reliable and tasty Italian meal, Fattusco's is definitely the...
Read moreHonestly, it was the worst food and service that I've ever experienced in my life. When we first entered, they asked if we had a reservation. It was 5:00 p.m. they were Empty Tables. He insisted on bringing an outside table inside and giving us outside chairs with cushions that had mold on them. We then ordered some soda for drinks, and he brought us back bottled soda. No glass with ice. No straw. I ordered veal franchise. It was terrible. It was like chewing on rubber bands. I would have told the server if he ever came back to the table. Finally, at the end, he asked us if we wanted to wrap stuff up. I said he could throw this right in the garbage it was like chewing on rubber bands. He did not care. I only took one bite from the plate. They still charged me for it. And they never even tried to make things right. The sauce on the pasta tasted and smelled like it came directly from a can. I do not understand why people would go to this restaurant when there are so many better ones around. Avoid this place like the plague. You might catch something from the mold...
Read moreOrdered a specialty slice and a cheese slice. The star was the cheese but unfortunately it was a small slice. The Chicken cutlet slice I got was chewy and horribly overcooked, and barley warmed up, while I watched my new truck get pelted by an industrial grade asphalt and leaf blowers by their landscapers which had no care what so ever for their customers cars. Besides that and after their employees saw the damage to my car, one employee said" Its going to rain tomorrow as some sort of constellation for how my property was treated" I love Pizza and travel across the state to eat at some of the best pizza places in the area. I spent 14$ for 2 slices and a bottle of water to watch landscapers pelt my car with asphalt. And the only reason I came here was because I'm a veteran and I just got done with an appointment at the VA. Buyer beware. Do not go there before 1pm or you may suffer damage to your car from careless landscapers!!! Never again!!! To be unbiased i tried it again. Was like Davey P always says about long...
