A very bad experience for our first visit @ Piccola Bussola. We were enticed by the 20% off coupon sent to us via mail in a little yellow booklet. Discount was usually 10% in this booklet so we decided to try dinner there. Nowhere on the coupon did it mention drinks or when to present the coupon. Arriving at 5:30 PM, weekday night, there were only 3 cars in the lot. We parked, got out and began to walk to the restaurant door. A man came running out saying we couldn't park there. Why not? Because they had valet parking, believe it or not. We might mention, he was not in the lot when we got there. He asked for the keys and moved our car 3 spots away, next to the 3 other cars. That night drinks were 2 for 1, confirmed by the waiter. I ordered a house chardonnay, husband, water. Looked at the menu. Waiter took awhile to ask about ordering. Quite awhile. He asked if I wanted another glass of wine so I said yes. Both entrees were not quite right. Chicken scarpariello did not include the usually delicious cherry pepper slices and my shrimp with linquini was good but not spicy or garlicy enough. Asked for the check when done and check showed $22 for two glasses of house chardonnay. $11/glass for a HOUSE chardonnay? Why not charged for just one glass? Asked waiter about this. He said the 2 for 1 drinks on that day were for only rose and pinot grigio and well drinks. When I ordered my wine, he did not mention exemptions. Nor did he say anything when he brought my second glass of wine. We protested but nothing doing after the waiter checked with the kitchen. Letting it go so conditions remained pleasant, my husband placed his credit card & coupon in with the check and the waiter told him, "Sorry, sir, the coupon is valid only if you present it when ordering". This was not printed on the coupon. So, the check was paid without the 20 % coupon and, as a result of this poor service, we will not be going back. We were a party of 8 on Saturday, September 27, under the name Felicia D.
We sat down and proceeded to wait 15 minutes for a waiter to show up at our table to take drink orders (Staff was walking by our table and ignoring us)
We eventually got our drinks and proceeded to order salads, which came exactly 55 minutes after we sat down (Salads turned out to be the only palatable food that we were served)
We then ordered individual main courses, of which one was totally the incorrect order, and another woman in our party never got her dinner and ended up just canceling it altogether, after an already incredibly long wait for it!
In particular, the chicken marsala dish and my shrimp oreganato, looked like leftovers from someone else’s plate.
The shrimps look like frozen quarter size TV dinner shrimps, That were all different sizes, all extremely small (dish was room temperature, borderline cold)
The chicken marsala serving was anemic, being two very small pieces
The Fra diavlo dishes were a good size and served piping hot, but was nevertheless , an incorrect dish that was never ordered
Our waiter had no idea what he was doing, and leaned over my shoulder twice during the meal to ask me the same question, as to whether or not the pasta dishes that we ordered should be served with the salad or with the main meals
He also never asked if anybody wanted any refills on the drink drinks or if everybody had what they needed, etc.
When it came time for dessert, he put four dessert menus out for 8 people and walked away
By then, we had had enough as it was approaching 10 PM, and asked for our check…2X!!
We cannot recall the last time we had such a horrific dining experience. We have traveled all around the world and never receive service or quality of food like this
A bill for each couple was approximately $170 for absolutely nothing to speak of.
I will await your response as to how you, the restaurant owner is going to rectify this unacceptable...

The complete lack of attention to two patrons who walk in and took a seat at the bar for a quick drink and app was disturbing. Please keep in mind they were not in the least bit busy. After repeatedly trying to grab the attention of two of what appeared to be matradee's vocally and repeatedly saying "excuse me" both men refused to acknowledge me or my girlfriend. I would assume because we weren't regulars or 65+ they felt that we didn't make the grade of their typical patrons. I would highly advise staying away from here and going down the road to a much better establishment like La Parma who deserves much more credit to their customer service.
