The best beach vibes in Rochester. This place is a gem, you can sit out on the soft sand beach and drink and watch the sunset. Go on summer Mondays or Tuesdays for freedom from the strict rules of the other nights - on those nights no bands, you can sit where you want, etc. Go on other nights for kind of annoying lame rules - if you are only 2 people, you can only sit on the side chairs, only facing the glaring sun, etc. Not sure why those side chairs can't be where the sun is at your back. They even have food on weekends like a charcuterie board stand or hot dogs/hamburgers. I was SO IMPRESSED they even had vegan Beyond Burgers at their hotdog stand - amazing! Otherwise you can order or bring your own food in. The only mixed drinks are canned, but they are pretty good. I like the pina colada - get a lot of ice to pour it in. It's strong! The staff is friendly, the vibe is very Jimmy Buffet, and the view is the best. Only one bathroom for ladies so prepare to stand in line if it's busy - or do like I do, just use the mens bathroom instead.

I LOVE this place - Rochester’s local Key West-ish tiki bar!!! Perfect spot for drinks with friends & to see the sunset over the lake. We’ve been going here for a long time. Spring- Summer-Fall 😊 never been in the winter but it is open then too! The Rum Rita is my fav cocktail. It’s Their Secret Recipe - I try making it at home but never quite right. You can order food & have it delivered or get take out from the places near by. I have to say it’s been an adjustment these past few years, with the “assigned seating” now & the $5 cover charge (or more w/ entertainment) every day of the week?? It seems..? My friends & I love this place - was lucky enough to have the whole place practically to ourselves the day I retired - it was a Rainy day, we didn’t care - had a great time!

This was originally a negative review, mistakes do happen especially on holiday weekends — im guessing I was confused with someone else and cut off and it was bizarre. But the owner contacted me on here and was all class. This is the review I wanted to leave originally, because the place is awesome and truly unique. If you’re thinking of getting some beach time with a drink in your hand, squinting and pretending you’re somewhere tropical, this is definitely the place. Judging by the owner’s response, I can safely say good people are behind the operation. I will be showing my dad and friends this place! Go to Marge’s!

This bar was great and has a very friendly staff who love this bar and they're all like family we went during an ice storm and they were having a reunion at the time and welcomed us right into their family. They told us to come back when it warms up to see the tiki bar outside and enjoy the sand in between your toes and watch the sunset. It's a must go to place for cocktails and beer!!!! Our new perfect hang out bar :)

Well none of us have been in a while I guess but Marges has definitely brought up their game! Met friends there last night and was thrilled to be escorted out and pointed to wonderful new red chairs around barrels to hold drinks! A band playing and a friendly crowd! Love the margaritas in a bag and what could be better than a beautiful evening on the beach, a drink and friends!

Highly recommend you give this gem a visit whether you live nearby or are just visiting. Looks like there is always a $5 cover but drinks are pretty cheap so it could be worse. Indoor seating and bar, but the real magic happens outside. Tons of sandy beachside with tables and tiki torches to sit around. Not much better than sticking your toes in the sand and having a cocktail!
