New Ethic Pizzeria @ 2 Ton Tony's Pizza — Restaurant in Town of Irondequoit

Ok, so yes, this is a vegan restaurant. Still, I had to give it a try. I must admit, vegan food food has come a long way. To start, I had garlic knots and the cheese sticks. The knots were savory and well...garlicy, which I love. The cheese sticks were pretty good. They had a very faint taste of coconut (probably Daya cheese) but for the most part, barely noticed it when dipping them into the garlic parm sauce I got on the side. For my entree, I got the Chik'n Bruschetta pizza. Its a white pizza with vegan chicken, bruschetta and a balsamic reduction. I did add fresh basil to complete the dish. With the exception of the "chicken" texture, I wouldn't have noticed this was vegan. To note, the chicken tasted savory and the texture exception was just that when biting into it, it was softer than say biting into a grilled chicken strip. Not a deal breaker and not even an issue but just had to mention it in case someone is expecting this to be indecipherable to real meat. Overall, the food was flavorful, definitely enough left to have food the next day. Unfortunately, this will be my last time ordering from here, as a long time customer. I placed an order and requested my fries on " the plate" to be separated. 7 mins later, I get a phone call stating my fries cannot be separated. The only reason I asked for this was because by the time I get my order home, the fries are soggy. I then decided to cancel the whole order. I then received another call from Tony stating they cannot separate because they factor in the cost of the container into their prices. Even after explaining I am a long time customer who has spent a decent amount of money at this place, it did not matter. Not even a one time grace. I mean if .10ct makes a difference in losing a customer, be my guest.

I had a great experience at New Ethic! The staff was really friendly and the menu really impressed me.

My first impression walking in was admiration at how perfectly simple and well-cleaned this place is!

Now let's talk food. Firstly, WOW! Beyond burgers garbage plates, calzones, AND a whole pizza menu?! What a great menu!

I opted for some classic pizzaria items: buffalo pizza, garlic bread sticks (aka "cheesy garlic bread") and fried dough. I was not disappointed!! Everything was perfectly cooked, hot, and incredibly well flavored!

They really wear the ethical vegan message on their sleeve and it's refreshing honestly! At least you know where your money is going! No animals harmed for this pizzaria 🐄🐖

Overall I am blown away by this dining experience and I've gotta come back! That beyond burger garbage plate is calling...
