Update: now down to 1 star. Never got checked on to see if anything else was needed, Gina just walks by and leaves check mid walk with out making sure food was okay burnt toast, son wanted cereal, I wanted to order two lunch meals to go to eat later, none of which happened. Go to cash out and ask why servers never check on their customers and get looked at like I have 10 heads. I shouldn’t have to chase down or beg my waitress for service

Would give 5 stars, but each time I’ve been there the service is not great. Came in with my son and sat near the AC which was great, it was hot. A family then shows up who must be regulars, server shut off AC, which then caused the whole area to get uncomfortably hot and muggy, and she wouldn’t turn it back on when asked, would pass by us without asking if we needed anything else or refills, but was catering to the “regulars”. Next trip, again, get treated like dirt because I’m assuming at this point we aren’t “regulars”. Was rushed(only couple tables seated). Kids wanted milk shakes after their meal, but she just dropped the check about 2 min after we got our food without asking if we wanted anything else, and never came back. Waiting for a box and no one is around, so go to counter to ask the lady for one and I look over and they are already clearing our table. I’d like to continue to support the establishment as I love the food, and the one lady who cashed out and hosts(maybe an owner?) is very pleasant. But I can’t deal with being treated like we are invisible when ever...

July 2025: Four of us met at Parkside Diner for a late morning breakfast on a recent Friday. It had been many years since we ate here last and we were pleasantly surprised by how much seating there is inside. They also offer outdoor dining on the patio (weather permitting). The restaurant was maybe 2/3 full when we arrived. We were seated quickly and given menus. They feature a nine-page menu packed with an almost endless variety of breakfast and lunch options, including one page dedicated solely to a dozen or so variations of Eggs Benedict. We eventually decided on our choices and placed our orders with our server. Our food (a Western omlet w/homefries/toast, a full stack of three large pancakes/OJ, a chicken salad club sandwich, and two eggs/sausage/toast) was served up hot a little over 15 minutes later. Portion sizes are what I'd consider generous and the menu prices reflect that. All of our meals were good, although the pancakes tasted a little off during this visit. The bill for our four meals and coffee totaled a bit over $58 including tax and a cash discount. But the real highlight of our visit here was our server, Rachael. She was extremely pleasant, very personable, fully engaging, and very efficient. She was truly outstanding and provided us with some of THE best service that we've experienced in any restaurant. Rachael was a real delight, and exactly the type of person you want serving your next meal. Enjoy, and thanks...

Parkside Diner is a great place for breakfast, lunch and dinner. It is right next to Durrand Eastman Park and only a 10 minute walk from Seabreeze Amusement Park. The Parkside Diner has a really big breakfast menu. A huge selection of pancakes. I saw they had pancakes like cheesecake and there famous cinnamon Roll pancakes. I dined around 1pm and breakfast was still being served. After a big debate I ended up ordering the honey chicken wrap. This comes with mac salad and soup. I picked the buffalo chicken soup. I really liked the honey chicken wrap. The soup was kind.of disappointing. It was very think, just did not look appealing and tasted nothing like buffalo flavor should be. If you dine outside be warned this place has an insane bee problem. We choose.to.eat outside and bees were flying everywhere. I was eating.my soup and as I was dipping my spoon into my cup serveral times a bee flyes in between my spoon and.my.bowl. Also if you pay with a credit card.or debt card they will charge you an extra 3.25% extra regardless how much or how little.your bill is. Right next door there is a minature golf place. I was very surprised how busy this place was at about 1pm. Service was.good I would love to come back and try...

A cute family diner nestled just a few blocks from Lake Ontario. I dined here for lunch recently and had no complaints with my experience. It is much like you would expect, a mixture of locals reading the paper and having their coffee, and families enjoying a home cooked lunch, and workers grabbing a quick bite before running out the door. I opted for a BL (BLT hold the T) and it was good- I ordered it on untoasted bread so the kitchen had to remake it when it got to the service window and they had missed that detail. Other than that, service was prompt, my onion rings were tasty, and I thought the prices were very reasonable. If I am in the area again I would certainly stop in.
