Carleton Avenue Deli — Restaurant in Town of Islip

Went here for 1st time last week and still aggravated I wasted $ there. Really annoyed I was lied to when I asked specifically before ordering if the tomato soup was actually made there or if it was just "Campbells" soup because some delis actually just serve that (gross.) The guy working there said he was "sure" it was homemade soup. I also ordered a "grilled chicken" wrap. When I got home I opened up a pint of Campbell's soup - ughhh!! What made it even worse was the "grilled chicken" wrap was sliced deli meat - NOT grilled chicken. What kind of a deli doesn't even have grilled chicken for their sandwiches??? I'd never go back to this place - ever. Way too many other better delis and...

They are good until something is wrong then the lady that works there isn't pleasant. We usually order from them all the time, especially breakfast. I sent my son to order something and unfortunately he allowed them to give him the wrong bread because they ran out of the bread they normally use. The price was just as high for a smaller version of the sandwich. I don't like the fact she was annoyed and slightly toned towards my son because he mad a mistake. Both of the guys that work in there is very nice. I appreciate the way he tried to explain what happen with the order but because of the rude woman I will find another place to eat.

10/10 would recommend to EVERY one I know. Every time I walk in this deli (or order out) I am treated with such care and kindness. Between the attention to detail when it comes to custom orders, to the absolutely mouth watering food, I cannot say enough good things about this deli. Its so nice to have one place where you can have a different lunch every day if you want to and know that it’s going to be just as good as the last thing you’ve tried.
