Fatty McGees Bar & Grill — Restaurant in Town of Islip

Pretty simple bar. It seems by talking to the local of the bar, that it is a very empty bomb of the time. They have only one server one bartender and one cook. This is okay since it is slow, however there are times when events coming to the bar and bring a slew of people along with them. This can make getting food us very slow process if you come in at the wrong time. The mixed drinks are pretty good, I've had some sort of pineapple vodka mixed drink ( that I still don't know the name of the day to this day) that was a sleeper because it was very sweet but it hit me a little bit later. The menu is super limited and is mostly fried food. The fried ravioli was just a poor imitation of just fried cheese. Would not recommend if you're not a big cheese fan. But chicken sandwich it's not just one Patti but several strips of chicken place on a bun usually marinated very well and sauces. I was here for an after-party fundraising event. We were raising money for a family in need as members of the Suffolk Bicycle Riders Association. Our group had just ridden 80 miles to Montauk a few hours prior to our 8pm to 10pm raffle of donated items. I cannot comment on the food or beverages, because the management of Fatty McGees had an arrangement with the folks who put our Montauk trek together.
