East Islip Public Library — Attraction in Town of Islip

My daughter went to our library to print photos to make a memory board for the family of a very close friend who died suddenly at age 25. When the librarian finally informed her that the photo printer was not working with only a few minutes left in her session, despite the computer room being totally empty, two reference desk librarians rudely enforced 'the 30 minute rule' forcing my daughter to leave with no pictures even though the regular printer was working. She left in a panic because the wake was beginning the following day. Luckily I went with her to Staples and they dropped everything to accommodate...

This is not my local library but I was in the area and wanted to pick up some books to read...

On the way out they had DVDs, Blu-rays, and books on sale this week for 4 for $1... So I spent $4 and got 16 movies to add to my collection.

Now I don't know if I'm going to be reading the movies or watching the books, or vice versa! 😊😉😊

Very pleasant...

Nice library overall. Nice area for kids. Came down here for their Comic con event. It was rather bland and boring with very little to see or do. Felt bad for the vendors that were expecting a bit more than what they were seeing. Also, some of the vendors came very ill prepared. I wouldn't come down for other events at this library...
