Pita & Pizza — Restaurant in Town of Islip

I love the food here. Their pizza, and their gyros with french fries are absolutely amazing and I usually always get that whenever I come here. Service is also typically friendly as well.

However, one major flaw is that whenever I want to get delivery instead, there is a minimum amount of money I'm required to spend, and it differs many times. At times, it may be $10, $12, $14, $15, etc, and the delivery itself takes a very long time. 40 minutes usually, which I can somewhat understand due to there being very limited drivers, which in that case, they should get more company cars. However, if you've got nothing to do for such a long time, it's not really a problem, but if that's not the case, you should probably physically go there or call for a pick-up order. Been ordering from this place for years. Good food but I felt disrespected today. I usually do a dollar or two for tip on my card when I order. Ordered from there today. The delivery man came with the food but then said that his boss wanted him to tell me the tip of one dollar on my card is no good and if I don't do more, they won't deliver anymore. Screw that. Foods good even tho the chicken it’s dry sometimes, prices are reasonable and the wait isn’t bad. But the staff it’s terrible they’re super rude and disrespectful they obviously don’t want the best for this place I know the owner the Argentinian lady she’s great I feel bad for her letting these ppl with no knowledge in how to treat a customer ruin her business it’s sad! Don’t get me wrong I can just switch to a different location those poorly trained individuals won’t stop me from spending my money at this place!
