I would give no stars if I could, I'm actually in shock the way myself and my family were treated only about 30 minutes ago, we brought my mother into her favorite pizza place from when she was younger!! Her first time back to longisland after 32 years! We walked in 50 minutes before they closed, no one even looked up to greet us, got completely ignored, mind you there was plenty of people still eating pizza, we were confused to why we were ignored, so we went to the host stand where a young woman stood looking very angry, before I could even ask her anything she stormed into the bar, a young man came out with a smile and asked could he help us, I asked him could we have a table for 4 and a baby, he said no problem and brought us to the fancy side, the rude host/bartender is now standing there give us dirty looks and said something to the young man about us, we felt so unwelcomed, finally a different young man came over to take our order we explained we just wanted pizza, he explained that the pizza was on the other side of the restaurant and they didn't serve it in dining room, we said no problem and asked could we go to the other side that we just wanted a slice of pizza he said no problem and pointed us in the right way, we got up to the counter and was met by a different young woman who not only rolled her eyes but told us that it was only what was left and that they would have to cook a whole new pizza if we wanted something different and that they were closing soon, in shock we ended up leaving we were all so upset the way we were treated, when we got to the car I called to speak to a manager and got hung up on!!! Don't put your closing time at 9pm if you refuse to serve people and train your staff to not be so pig ignorant!! Never in my life have I been treated that way by so many people in one establishment. Will never be back, thank you satellite pizza for ruining what was supposed to be a happy moment...
Read moreUpon entering we asked for a menu as we were deciding whether we were going to sit in the dining room or the pizza seating area. The girl behind the counter very rudely pointed behind us and said “there’s a brown menu behind you. Just make sure you don’t take it because that is the only menu we have” As it turns out, the menu she was referring to was not there and they had to look for it. Once it was found, we decided on 6 garlic knots, a large pie half plain half black olive, and a salad. According to the girl behind the counter the salad was romaine lettuce, peppers, mozzarella cheese, olives onions, tomatoes. The salad we received was iceberg lettuce with 6 olives, 3 peppers, and mozzarella cheese. ($16 for this salad by the way) Not to mention the garlic knots, and pizza came out and we still had no salad. The only reason we got the salad was because we had to ask for it. The entire pie was burnt on the bottom. This would be expected if we asked for it well done, but that is not how it was ordered. As someone in our party doesn’t care for burnt pizza, we went up to try to order something else. Upon viewing every other option from Sicilian to the specialty slices, everything had a dark brown crust or edge that clearly showed if it wasn’t already burnt, it would have been after it was put back in the oven to heat. Considering all of the other places to eat in the area, especially pizza places, you would think they would try to do better. I should have realized when the business owner only responds to the positive reviews, that they don’t care about their customers. If you want to be treated poorly by the staff and have your dinner burnt to a crisp, then this is the place for you. If not, drive a mile or two down the road and you will find many other options that will be better both with their staff...
Read moreHad my very first Satellite pan pizza - delicious! Wish I could've been hungrier for more.
We ordered and split 2 pan slices (a buffalo chicken and a BBQ chicken) and 1 regular cheese slice. I found the BBQ spice to be a little too sweet for me when I tried it, but my friends loved it. I definitely liked the buffalo chicken more - there's a tasty kick to it, more than other buffalo chicken pizza I've had. Their buffalo sauce isn't the generic sauce you get at other places, this had more flavor and even spice. The crust on everything was perfect, crunchy but airy.
The staff was super nice and friendly, and very helpful as we didn't really know what to order; they were really patient and kind to us, even though we came in pretty close to closing.
I'll definitely go back sometime, it's just a bit out of the way - but I need to try more of their pan pizzas, and I definitely need to try their delicious-looking garlic knots (both baked and fried versions) and...
