I initially came here because one of my clients recommended me to come to this salon after I expressed through a conversation how Iāve been having a hard time finding a nail technician (since Iāve moved to the island) that is good and when I mean good, I mean a clean paint + cleaning the cuticle and dead skin. Iām pretty good at up keeping at home because Iām always on my feet for work. This was a 30 minute commute but was hopeful and took the chance. I arrived there on time for my appointment and as a service provider myself, sometimes I understand running 10 minutes late can happen; HOWEVER, I was waiting for 30 minutes! During my service I mentioned to Tony if hecan clean up the cuticles because he had skipped it after removing the cuticle oil which I was confused by and then reassured me that he will towards the end (everyone works differently but normally itās done while the cuticle oil is on š§). Anyway, when he ādidā, he barely took anything off. When he started the paint job, I didnāt notice til the end, the messy job that was done. I typically bring my own nail polishes including the base and top coat because nail salons are infamous for diluting the product causing it to chip sooner, and my nail polishes are up to date, meaning brand new and true to consistency so Iām assured the color goes on the way it should. My manicure was next, as he started filing, I was confused as to why he wouldnāt ask if i wanted to cut it, which I then asked him to and he looked annoyed. This was NOT worth $50. Iām really upset at the quality and service. In the picture you can see the paint job on my toe and the dead skin on the back. Go at your own discretion but i wasnāt happy and will not be going back. Waste of...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreHad a decent pedicure the other day but today had a horrible manicure. The lady was nice enough but I really hate my nails. I went in asking for normal gel but they were clearly trying to upsell the new powder manicure (which is $41.) The guy at the desk suggested it as well as the woman doing my nails. They told me they'd charge the same price even for regular gel as I had 2 cracks I needed fixed on my left hand. So I opted to try it thinking they'd be fixing my broken nails. They just did the manicure over the breaks even though I asked for them to cut it off and rebuild it with gel as I usually have done when I have a bad break. I also asked to keep my shape (kind of almond shaped with flat tips) and they're just bulbous round disasters now. The actual shape wasn't horrible until they added the thick powder. The powder manicure looks absolutely ridiculous. It looks like I put on 5 thick coats of regular mail polish myself. It's so thick and not smooth looking and dust is sticking to it and there's leftover glitter from the clear coat or something on a few nails. When I pointed out the glitter the woman said there was no glitter. For $41 plus tip I'm extremely unhappy with this horrible manicure and I'm embarrassed to wear it. My friends already asked me about it because it's so noticeably bad. Super unhappy that this was pushed on me when I wanted regular gel...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreIf there was an option for 0 stars I would select that. In my opinion, it doesnāt even deserve 1 star. The owner was so rude because I chose 3 different colors that didnāt match the samples, so of course I was upset. He chucked the sample so arrogantly and said āthen donāt get gel then if you donāt like itā. I donāt believe in the customer is always right, but this was my first time there and left such a horrible impression. I will NEVER go back. And on top of it, they didnāt even do a good job on my nails. Theyāre all uneven and some are square and some are round. I said something to them and they continued to do what they want so I gave up. Worst experience ever! AND they wonāt share the Wi-Fi, probably because they donāt want people to write them...
