Upon stumbling upon this establishment, I was delightedly taken aback by its picturesque location. Nestled amidst the remote and majestic mountains, this place is enveloped by an array of lush greenery which contributes to an immersive, serene experience. The ambiance is a perfect fit for its countryside setting, effortlessly blending in with the surrounding natural beauty.

Personally, as an ardent fan of the "Virgin River" series, I found an uncanny resemblance to Jack's bar, which added an element of nostalgic charm. This place not only reminded me of the series visually, but also in terms of the warm and friendly interpersonal relationships among its patrons.

Echoing the communal harmony depicted in the series, the restaurant fosters an environment where everyone seems to know each other. A familiar greeting is exchanged whenever they cross paths, enhancing the feeling of camaraderie and a close-knit community.

This place truly encapsulates the essence of countryside hospitality, making it a must-visit spot for nature enthusiasts and "Virgin...

Party of 4 went for dinner the Thursday evening of Juneteenth weekend. We were planning to hike the Great Range Traverse starting 4am Friday, so needed an early and good dinner. Got here around 5:30pm and had a great meal. I had the hot chocolate with whipped cream, and the pesto penne. Friends also had the alfredo pasta (linguini) and the chicken breast. I had the soup of the day which happened to be chicken tortilla which was great. We shared beer battered shrimp and dumplings for the table. Total including tips and taxes came to just under 200 bucks. We had some leftovers which made for a nice little leftovers meal at 3am on Saturday when we got back to Rooster Comb Inn from the hike. The restaurant staff was very warm and friendly. There were some large groups (5-6 people) too and everyone seemed to be having a great time. Nice views down the road if you sit on the...

I came in for lunch and the food was good but the service was horrendous! I was at my table with my family and I over heard this fight break out. A waitress named Clide I think was her name was screaming at a table saying that she wouldn’t serve them because the kid was an “asshole”! A kid!! He was maybe 17 I think and she yelled at him and called him an asshole. She refused them service even though she wasn’t even their server. She went out of her way to disrespect these people. I think this had to do with their personal lives and I think that personal lives no matter what should NEVER interfere with business especially around numerous other customers!! She was wrong to talk to a...

I haven't been here for a few years and I was curious if anything has changed. Not much, it's still there. Nice, cozy and very warm atmosphere. It used to be a very popular place with my friends. I ordered fries (I don't eat meat on Fridays) and mushroom soup. Hungarian style. This soup is famous among Polish hikers and climbers, so I was curious what it tastes like after all these years - I ate two of them!!!! While eating, I remembered the good old times in my homeland when my mother, grandmother and my aunts fed me... you must try it. I know they also have rooms for rent, but I never asked about the price. I highly recommend this place!!!!

I traveled to the USA to hike Mount Marcy and stayed nearby. On my way back to base camp, I decided to find some coffee. After driving about 40 miles, I found a place that offered food after 5:00 P.M. I expressed my need for coffee to a friendly lady there. She made an exceptional coffee for me without charging for the extra mug. I also enjoyed some fantastic, fresh food and a small local beer, all free of charge. The prices were high, but the food was definitely worth it. I highly recommend this restaurant if you ever find yourself in the USA.
