This restroom greets you with mustard-yellow walls that try to brighten the mood, though the sticky floors briefly distract from what is otherwise a surprisingly spotless environment. Everything from the sink to the toilet is tidy, giving the space a cared-for feeling you don’t always expect in a diner. The toilet itself wears a crown of paper towels, a makeshift centerpiece that doubles as a backup plan when the dispenser taps out. The soap station was empty, but salvation came in the form of a stylish foam bottle — fragrant, almost spa-like, and completely out of place in this otherwise utilitarian setting. The paper towels? Absolutely top-shelf. None of those flimsy brown squares that just move water around — these absorb, conquer, and deliver. The sink’s scalding water is a trial by fire, a harsh reminder that comfort is optional, but survival is mandatory. Verdict: 4 out of 5 Golden Plungers — a very clean restroom with diner charm, elevated by luxury soap and premium paper towels. Sticky floors keep it from perfection, but this one comes highly recommended.

Busy breakfast place. The line was out the door, with the balloon festival going on, but we only waited about 15 minutes for a table. Service was fast and friendly, and our order came quickly, as well. There were only two areas that, in my opinion, were less than ideal. The first was the cost. For a local diner, the prices seemed a little high, especially when you consider my second issue- the food. Unfortunately, my wife's over medium eggs were not even close to medium. More frustrating, considering the premium price, my "Adirondack Eggs Benedict" used frozen sausage patties and what I am sure was canned sausage gravy. Don't get me wrong, it tasted fine, but for the price I couldn't recommend it.

I’m not certain why the reviews are so high. My corned beef hash was out of a can and so salty while the other local diners make their own hash. My eggs were like powdered eggs. The sausage was low quality and very greasy/gross. Fries were drenched in grease. Burger was meh. Would never go here again. Sally’s, sullivans and losaws are all way superior to here.

My family and I like to go there and eat but every time we go there it's a let down. Tonight we went there and it was about 40 minutes before closing. Our server made us feel rushed to order, once she brought the food out she never once came back to see how things were until my girlfriend went up to find someone to complain about the food. My girlfriend ordered the seafood Alfredo which was a 16$ meal. The meal was mostly pasta with 3 shrimp and 6 scallops. Now I'm sorry I have cooked in many restaurants and if someone is paying 16$ for a meal it shouldn't be mostly the cheapest ingredient of the dish. I mean the amount of scallops was right but the shrimp was not. When out serve was told about the lack of shrimp our server can out and said oh the cook said he put 6 shrimp in the meal but I don't want to make you search through the plate to find them all then watched as my girlfriend searched. After finding there was indeed not 6 shrimp the server said oh well we will take 10% off your meal because it was close to closing and apparently the cook didn't want to make more shrimp. That is absolutely unprofessional in my eyes. Anyone in the restaurant business knows the customer is always right. They also instead of taking 10% off the meal like cheap slated should have comped the whole Alfredo. To sum it all up poor service, poor good and my suggestion is do not go to this restaurant if it's in the last hour before they close....

We usually order breakfast - the food is good. A couple of the waitresses are appropriately friendly, but more often than not the waitstaff in general are not as attentive as they should be, & reluctantly accommodating of common requests, as if you're inconveniencing them from checking their phones. If you're waiting for a table they do not acknowledge you immediately (as they should) even though they're walking right in front of you. Further, on one visit we were sitting where we could see the kitchen, & although we had to wait a very long time for our food & there was clearly some kind of issue, we could see that the kitchen staff were hard workers & very efficient under the circumstances. I complimented this to a waitress, & her response was "yeah, they are sometimes". Not "oh thank you very much I'll make sure to tell them" or anything remotely proper. And the final nail in the coffin is that there are always flies inside - not one, several. One cannot dine in peace without having to swat away flies. I would have given zero stars if not for the good food & the good kitchen staff. Recommendations to the owner: keep your cooks happy, re-train your waitstaff or replace them with experienced people, & get rid of your...

Fantastic menu so many options, something for everyone even the fussiest of your group will be impressed. Just an example they offered four choices of soup. Very friendly wait staff that all work together helping each other out, this is very nice to see. I wanted the fried fish and french fries but they were out of fish so I just made a quick change decision and ordered the shrimp and clam strips. It was amazing I was so surprised, I have not had fried clam strips in years that I did not regret ordering, these were the best. The shrimp were great as well. My partner is the fussy one he ordered some kind of grilled or pressed sandwich however he wanted none of this but could you add that and the dressing on the side and of course extra crispy french fries. The waitress said with a smile of course. He was completely impressed with his meal as well. So folks give this place a try it is not an average greasy spoon in fact I don't think you would even find a greasy spoon in the kitchen, the place was absolutely spotless. So Ginny Raes is now a destination for us and no longer and okay let's pull it and...
