Margie's Bar and Grill — Restaurant in Town of Lancaster

I was looking for something new for lunch and my wife & I stopped into Margie's... we were not disappointed!

It's so unassuming from the outside but the bar area was very nice and the dining room, although maybe a little small, was very clean nice for a lunch spot.

We were greeted with a smile from Mary, who was excellent by the way! We asked for some recommendations as it was our first time here even though we've lived not far for nearly 15yrs. She ran through some suggestions and we both decided on the Hot Roast Beef sandwich with fries (my wife a sm & me the lg, both sandwich & fries covered in gravy).

I can honestly say that the roast beef might be the best I've ever had! No joke, the beef literally melted in your mouth it was so good! Portions were great. We split some Cajun fried pickles too... yum!

Great experience and we will definitely be back! 👍

..... well, I went back yesterday with some friends and the food was amazing! Service was great. I encourage people to check it out! A few friends got the roast beef sandwich and I got the medium...

We walked in on a Wednesday evening, they had 50 cent wings, as soon as we walked in we were told by a woman very snottily that there is a wait, I asked if she knew how long a d she snottily said no, ok so we're just standing there wondering who we give our names to, wanted to walk out but waited and after 10 minutes and more people walking in another lady came over and told us to put our names on the paper she handed us, I can't believe how rude that first woman was , we had her a couple months ago as a waitress and she was extremely unfriendly then, like another person stated I felt uncomfortable, thank God we didn't have her for a waitress this time, she should really watch her attitude towards people, I clearly knew before I walked in the place there would be a wait, I could see all the cars lined on the street, I am not an idiot and I don't like being treated that way, you are a miserable woman and should not be in the business you are in, to top it off, great prices for the wings, but 3 dollars extra for blue...

We always try to get there for the wing special on Wednesdays! The wait staff is courteous & wings are always awesome! With all the local restaurants trying to stay afloat still after the pandemic Margie’s prices are fair! Times are a changing ppl you can not think a restaurant is going to be or give out items like they did 10-20 yrs ago!! Locally owned restaurants don’t have luxury of being supported by another restaurant like the chain restaurants around the world are. Chain restaurants in certain areas if they are slow with income get supported by other chain restaurants around the area to stay open, this is common sense. So we need to try and support our local restaurants who are working very hard everyday to gain support from the public. People make me laugh they’ll pay God knows what for cigarettes or whatever their hobby is but are barking at a $1 charge on tartar sauce. We support Margie’s & their outstanding food & their staff! Keep up the great job!! See you all on...
