Overview: neat little restaurant tucked behind a road. Great service. Okay food but not very authentic tasting. Keep in mind I stopped here on vacation and I live in NYC so I have high standards for Thai! Cute restaurant. Staff was pretty young but she was so quick and helpful. 5/5 for service!
Food: Wings - tasty. Sweet sauced. Pretty small but seems organic so not mad at that. Spring rolls - not the best but was hungry so I took it. Tom Yum - not super spicy (probably the area influenced this?) still tasty just not authentic. Pad see ew - sauce was different from what I usually eat. However, still pretty tasty. Not the best as I’m very used to one flavor so I was a little off put by this.
Overall: 3/5 for food, 5/5 for service! I would support this small business if you are in the area and if you are sick of just American food! Also there’s actually cellular...
Read moreMy first impression is that the internet and locals have no idea what they are missing. As you walk into the restaurant, you are surprised because it’s a spacious Vietnamese restaurant with a dining room, bar room and bar offering beer and wine. The beer selection is a must for connoisseurs as the restaurant offers nothing on tap but a genius selection of micros beer. I wasn’t going to order a starter but took a professional recommendation from the staff. When the starter arrived, I was tickled pink because the rolls were perfectly fried in peanut oil. The glass noodles were chewy, the spring rolls were impressively tight paired with a zesty, sweet, sour and cleverly spicy duck sauce. I ordered the green curry with chicken in a super hot coconut milk sauce with real bamboo shoots and UNKNOWN meaty mushroom. The only downfall was that I ordered brown rice and...
Read moreI ordered the red chicken curry. I have traveled to Thailand and married my first wife from Thailand. I cannot give greater than a two for a rating. I have made this meal many times. The curry itself was missing coconut milk. What was in the curry was a watered-down version. The heating was proper but missing other spices. The portion was just right but the cost does not support the lack of quality. Please bring your spice to your meals. Even the chicken fried rice flavor was a bland and overwhelming burnt onion. When I took my meal that was set on the table as I ordered to go back to the hotel that only then did I find that there were no eating utensils or napkins. I can thank the hotel for filling in these...
